A/N: I strongly suggest listening to Say by John Mayer. Also, is anyone else's document thing being stupid?

Say

Take all of your wasted honor

Every little past frustration

Take all of your so-called problems

Better put them in quotations

Dishonor. There is not a worse thing in her family than dishonor. She spits on the ground. She has tried her best, but she has still made a mockery of the 'Main House.' She is upset. She is mad.

Say what you need to say

She can't talk about it. No one is aloud to speak of the traditions of the family to others of no relation. Not even the Hokage knows all the inner workings of the Hyuga. She is silent.

Walking like a one man army

Fighting with the shadows in your head

Living out the same old moment

Knowing you'd be better off instead

Her heart is definitely telling her she must continue, but all odds are against her. Even her head is saying do not go. She fights the voice that is telling her to just stay the same, because maybe things will be easier that way, and that everything will be better in the end.

She sees how her whole family suffers; even the ones that are not tainted with the curse seals.

Those thoughts keep her going, but unsurprisingly, that is not the only thing. She promised everyone (and her special person) that she would change, and she isn't about to go back on her word.

She sees the one she yearns for just as her hand touches the door knob. She is in love.

If you could only

Say what you need to say

So she opens the door. He father sits behind a desk, looking over papers, but she does not see him. She sees Kiba, and then Shino, Kurenai and Naruto. Her heart tremors. Hanabi, Neji and all the infants, toddlers and children still young enough to not have received the seal come forth as well. She straightens her back, letting her long hair fall flat against it while subconsciously brushing off her jacket and pants. Finally, her father's face rises and stares intently at her. She is momentarily lost.

Have no fear for giving in

Have no fear for giving over

You better know that in the end

It's better to say too much

Than never to say what you need to say again

Now, she wants to talk to him. Talk to him about her thoughts and her fears. And then about what should knows should happen. He she wants him to listen. She is nervous.

Even if your hands are shaking

And your faith is broken

Even as the eyes are closing

Do it with a heart wide open

She shakes slightly, and reconsiders herself. Despite the goose bumps that run up her arms and legs, she decides to keep going. Eyes closed, she begins to talk. She becomes determined.

Say what you need to say

He listens, just as she hoped he would. She has earned his respect again, she thinks. She is confident.

Say what you need to say

She has given all she can. She cannot possibly give more. She is relieved.

Say what you need to say

She leaves the room, leaving no space for discussion. After all, she is the clan leader and what she says is Hyuga Law. She is happy.
