Ladies and Gentlemen it's time for a show
Put on your masks, and look there, you know-
The highest bidder will win quite a treat,
Obtaining this prize was no small feat.
The curtain's pulled back; the prize is revealed,
And everyone in that room's fate is sealed.
For the little boy inside the gilded cage,
Is anything but the emotion afraid.
He seethes with anger, with hatred, with rage,
He longs to leave the cold bars of his cage.
He craves their destruction; he wants them to die,
It is then that he notices the pain in his eye.
The demon smiles; a terrible thing,
He kneels down beside him and starts to sing
A soft lullaby, with crescendoing screams
Maybe they aren't as unaware as they seem.
The people are dying, blood painting the walls,
But the demon continues and laughs as they fall.
Till none are left standing, the bodies are still
The little boy's dangerous wish half fulfilled
The demon strides over and kneels by his side
Lightly caressing the little boy's eye
The marking appears, though none are surprised
There are many more people, destined to die.
