The Truth Is Revealed
Taylor finally tells Thorne the truth about Darla!
This is my first story I have written on fanfiction so tell me what you think!
Taylor lay on the couch sobbing silently to herself so that she would not wake Phoebe. She had cried continuously since the death of her sister in law Darla. She had a guilty conscience and only two people knew why, her daughter Phoebe and one of the EMT rescuers that had been on the scene that dark, foggy night. Phoebe had been driving home from going out that day and was returning home when she got a flat tire. She called her mother Taylor and her aunt Darla. Darla had been the first one to arrive at the scene and immediately tried to change the tire herself, while Phoebe stood by the road looking for cars coming by so that Darla would not get hurt. Darla was working on getting one of the bolts off of the tire when Phoebe warned Darla that a car was coming. Darla told her that she was fine and would get the bolt off soon and that it was just stuck a little bit. The car was creeping by slowly since it was foggy outside and no one knew that at that moment Darla snatched off the bolt and went flying in front of the car. Taylor, who had been drinking that night, was the one that saw the horror of Darla as her face slammed into the windshield and splattered blood all over. Taylor slammed on the brakes and Darla flew to the pavement, Phoebe looked on in horror as her own aunt was hit by her mother. Taylor jumped out of the vehicle and ran to Darla's side, Phoebe followed more slowly from the shock of watching that happen. Phoebe called 911 as Taylor comforted Darla. The rescue squad pulled up and as they did Darla's husband, Thorne was also passing by, and recognizing Darla's car stopped and pulled over to find out what was going on. Thorne spotted Taylor and Phoebe and rushed over asking what was going on. All of a sudden he spotted Darla bloodied up and laying on the ground, immediately he started asking questions about what happened but he never did mention asking who had done this to his wife. As Darla was being taken to the hospital, Hector the EMT had found out that it was Taylor who had hit Darla and that she was drunk. (by the way he has a HUGE crush on Taylor!) Although Taylor immediately wanted to tell Thorne what had happened, Hector, trying to protect himself and Taylor from being arrested, told her to keep quiet. She remembered all of this as she lay on the couch that night longing for the truth to be told to Thorne. She had been over there almost every day since the incident to show some sympathy. She had also attempted several times to try telling Thorne but he had always stopped her before she got all of it out. "Well," she thought to herself, "today, when I go over there I am going to tell him the truth no matter what Hector says. I deserve going to jail for what I did to him, his wife, and his daughter." She got up off the couch and went to bed, she would now be able to rest better since she knew that tomorrow the truth would be revealed to Thorne about who had killed his wife.
The Next Morning
Taylor rose out of bed, went into the kitchen where she saw Phoebe standing at the stove making breakfast. Once Taylor stated that she was not hungry she told her daughter that she had some errands to run and would be back shortly. Once in the car Taylor felt her fears of telling Thorne rising again but swallowed them back down… Once at Thorne's house, Taylor got right down to business. She sat Thorne down and made him promise that no matter what she said that he wouldn't say anything until she was finished. He agreed, and she began her painful sobbing story of what happened that night….
