A.N.: Just a pit of cutesy fluff I came up with while trying to get ideas. Sometimes it just helps to write a completely unnecessary oneshot, doesn't it?

Keith sighed. Hat? Check. Vest? Check. Piano? Check? Why did it feel like something was off?

"You left your tie at my apartment," Jessica said, smirking. She was at the door, already dressed and ready.

"You're a lifesaver, Jess," he said.

"If you say so." She grinned.

"Here. Give me that. Your hands are shaking." She took the tie from him and began to adjust it. He blushed.

"I'm just worried about this."

"I know you are. You always worry, even if there's nothing to worry about."

"There's always something to worry about."

"You seriously need to calm down. You look like you're about to pass out. Sit." He plopped down onto his bed.

"Look up, I'm still working on the tie," she said, gently pulling his head up.

"I'm not gonna fail, right?" Jessica smiled sadly.

"Keith, your song is amazing. Your dad is going to love it. Wanna know how I know that?"

"How?"

"Because he loves you. Now, come on, we've got a song to perform." She got up and went towards the door, stopping only when she noticed something on his desk. She picked it up and showed it to him.

"You have a clip-on." He laughed.

"I'm so nervous, I forgot." She chuckled.

"What can I do to not make you nervous?" she asked, walking over towards him. He could hear his heart pounding in his ears.

"Uh..." he said intelligently. She put a hand on his shoulder.

"It'll be okay," she said, looking him straight in the eyes. She then did something he did not expect. She kissed him on the cheek. He blushed a little.

"Better?" she asked.

"Yeah," he managed to say. She grinned.

"Great. Let's go."

He felt dizzy, but it had nothing to do with nerves. He would have to manage to collect himself on the way to the diner, because he was a mess at the moment. But it was a happy mess, one he was glad he got himself into.
