Chapter 1: The Beginning

Okay class settle down.
Mr. Simmons walked into his fourth-grade glass to be greeted by yelling, paper airplanes, and doodles on his chalkboard. Erasing the board and catching the airplanes in mid-air he continued.
Today is a very special day. Has anyone ever seen the show Survivor?
Nearly all of the class raised their hands at this question. Helga was especially interested.
Duh Mr. Simmons. It's only the most popular reality show on television. Anyone who has a TV has seen it. Why the sudden interest?
Im glad u asked that Helga. Principal Wartz and I have decided to create our own P.S. 118 Survivor Show. We have selected twelve special individuals from this very class to participate, upon parental consent of course.
The class burst out in conversation at this news. Everyone wanted to get picked for this show. It would probably be the most fun they would have in their fourth grade year.
Goursh. Are ya gonna fly us all to Africa or sumthin? Stinky asked.

No Stinky. In fact, it's going to take place right here in our very city. Its going to be a little different from the real Survivor of course. Each weekend each team will meet in the park for a day of challenges. Then at the end of each day, the team to have lost the last challenge will have to vote a person off.
So in other words we dont have to sleep on the ground or skip showers?
Yes Rhonda that's correct.
Thank the Lord. I don't know what I would do if I would have to sleep with a bunch of smelly people in one tent. Rhonda displayed her disgust with the way of the real Survivor.
Mr. Simmons continued on explaining the rules.
There will be two teams to start out with. A boy team with six special people on it, and a girl team with six special people on it. This will also all be on tape to show the school at the end of the show. Brainy has already been selected to be our camera man for the show.
Brainy wheezed his satisfaction in being selected.
The six special people on the boys team will be: Harold, Stinky, Sid, Arnold, Eugene, and Gerald.
The six boys high fived eachother, with the exception of Arnold and Gerald, who did their secret handshake.
The six special people on the girls team will be: Lila, Sheena, Rhonda, Nadine, Helga, and Pheobe.
The girls high fived eachother also, but groans escaped their lips when they heard some of their teammates.
Okay. I'm passing out permission slips for you twelve for your parents, or guardians to sign. Have them with you when you come on Saturday to the park at 9:00 a.m. If there is a problem and you can make it let me know and I will pick another person to go in your place. See you tomorrow. Class dismissed.
The bell rang and the students rushed to the door to get home and have their permission slips signed.

What did you think? Of course this is only the beginning and there will be more, but I need feedback. So REVIEW REVIEW REVEIW!
