Welcome! Ok, so here's the deal:

This is my first story on this account. I've written tons of other un-posted fanfictions. I mean, seriously, my mom's laptop and mine are both filled with stories of all kinds.

I am not a very good spelling person. I make mistakes. I have typos. If anyone wants to be like a beta or whatever on this story, fine by me. I just can't always be online due to very very limited internet access.

This is the prologue. It's not how all my chapters will be in length. This being said, please enjoy.

"Are you... are you sure she'll be safe?" My father's voice held so much authority. It was one of the things I admired about him. But now, I wouldn't be able to admire anything about him but memories. He was leaving me behind.

The blonde holding my hand nodded. She had really short hair. Both of them wore a military uniform. I'd seen it enough times to recognise. "Your daughter will be safe, Brigadire General Kultz." She responded.

My dad nodded again, then knelt down to look me in the eyes. "Ok, sweetheart. Your daddy has to go now. My boss transferred me over to Western Command. You remember what that means, right?" I bobbed my head. He was leaving. That's what it meant. He smiled sadly at me, his stubbly chin seeming to get darker as the train approached. He had short, shaggy hair. It was the same color as mine. "You're going to stay here with Ms. Hawkeye and Mr. Mustang, once he gets back. You remember Mr. Mustang, right? Good. Now please, be good for them. I'll come and visit you as soon as I can." I turned around as the train popped into view. It's whistle blew loud.

My dad sighed and pulled me into a hug. "Ok, snuggle-bear. I have to get going. I love you." He kissed my cheek.

"I love you too daddy." I choked out, a tear rolling down my cheek. He brushed it away and stood up.

To Ms. Hawkeye, he said very sharply, "If anything happens to her, anything at all, do not hesitate to call me. Understood?" She nodded. "Good."

Daddy and his gaurds walked over to the train. It had gotten here by now. I watched as everyone made a path for him. He gave one last final wave before disappearing into the crowd. My lip quivered, and like an obedient little girl, I followed Ms. Hawkeye out of the train station, and into the world.

My daddy, he never visited.

Reviews would be apreciated, but it's a prologue. Next chapter will be out hopefully soon. Please, though, tell me if you like the idea of a military brat. 'Cause that's who the main character is.

Toodles!
