"Canadian!"

"Fake American!"

"Polar bear hugger!" The other kids yelled at Matthew as he walked down the stairs, going to class. A loose leg kicked out in front of him, causing him to tumble forward.

His books flew forward as Matthew fell down the seemingly endless staircase. Folders and loose papers were picked up by the wind going all over the staircase.

Finally the stairs ended and the laughter could be heard. A hand was stuck out as Matthew tried to get up. He looked into the face it belonged to.

It was Lovino. His Lovino. A smile was on his pale face. His beautiful brown eyes were full of love and concern.

Matthew took the hand kindly. Lovino pulled him up as he started to collect the papers and other things.
"Thanks," Matthew said to the boy.

"It's no biggie. Plus, shouldn't I help out my boyfriend?" Lovino asked him, a smirk going over Lovino's face. That made the butterflies in Matthew's stomach go haywire.

Matthew let out a small laugh, trying to calm the butterflies as Lovino handed him all his stuff he hand dropped.

"Shall we go?" Lovino placed a hand out in a kind gesture.

"Yes. Yes we shall," Matthew told him, taking the hand and walking off to class with him.

Matthew felt the small weight of something being dropped in his lap. He looked down and saw a small not with his name on it written in Lovino's neat cursive.
He unfolded it carefully, reading every word.
Meet me at the swing set after school, was all the note read.

Matthew tore out a piece of paper out of his notebook as he wrote a note back to Lovino.

But isn't it suppose to rain? Matthew wrote back as he wrote Lovino on the front and passed it to Claire, who sat in between him and Lovino.

She was deck out in pink, per usual. She had a pair of pink and white tights under her hot pink skirt with a matching Victoria's Secret shirt pulled over her non-existent chest. She passed the note back where Lovino had just written three words.

That's the point, he had written. Matthew's face turned a deep shade of red.

He slipped the not in his breast pocket as he smiled to himself.

Matthew sat on the swing, swaying it gently. He waited for Lovino as the clouds above him grew dark and rumbled louder.

Matthew felt a small tap on his shoulder as the rain started to sprinkle down. He turned around and saw Lovino.

"You came!" Matthew said excitedly.

"Of course I came. Where else would I go?" Lovino asked Matthew slyly.

"I don't know," Matthew admitted, feeling stupid. He stood up and felt Lovino slipped one of his gloved hands in his own bare ones.

The rain was pelting down heavy now. Matthew didn't mind. He was with Lovino and that's all that mattered.

"I'm sorry about today," Matthew whispered to him.

"It isn't your fault that everyone is so mean to you," Lovino whispered back to him.

"Yes it is. I mean if I wasn't like this then you wouldn't-" Matthew said but was cut off as Lovino kissed him on the lips.

The small embrace sent sparks all through out Matthew's body as Lovino leaned his forehead against Matthew's, breaking the kiss.

"Je t'aime,"Lovino whispered as rain dripped from his dark brown hair.

"Anch'io ti voglio bene," Matthew whispered back to his boyfriend. The perfect ending for his day.
