"Why can you ever take a hint!" Jinx yelled and stormed out.
Leaving a dumbfounded Kid Flash staring into space. He pulled out his communicator and dialed Robin. "Hey," Robin answered, silently tired. "Hey," Kid Flash responded. "Look, I need some advice."
"Let me guess...this is about Jinx, right?"
Kid Flash sighed. "Yeah. It is. It's just me and Jinx have been fighting crime together and I know she likes me, I read her journal...by curiosity and now...I don't know...I have all these...these emotions. It's like I can't even think straight...well I can...but somehow she and I...we act normal all the time but yet...she likes me and I don't know...maybe I like her...maybe I-"
"Kid, me and you both know you like her," Robin interrupted. "If you like Jinx...just say it. It's not like she doesn't feel the same way."
"But when do I tell her? I can't just say it...'hey Jinx, I read your journal and I know you like and I like you.'" Kid Flash began walking around nervously.
"Listen...and don't tell her you read her journal," Robin replied with a chuckle.
"Your right," Kid Flash said. "By the way, how do you know this stuff?"
"Because I'm dating Starfire."
"Isn't she an alien?" Kid Flash joked.
"Isn't Jinx a criminal?" Robin joked back.
"Ex-criminal!"
Two Hours Later
"Hey Jinx," Kid Flash said as he opened the door.
"I need to lay down," Jinx said.
"Jinx...wait...can we talk?"
Kid Flash led Jinx to the couch. "Your cold," Kid Flash said when he saw her shaking. "It got cold," Jinx replied. Kid Flash smiled at her remark and wrapped his arms around her. "Jinx...I know I seem like a total idiot for not listening to you and for reading you journal." (1)
"YOU WHAT!" Jinx yelled. She jumped up, angry. "I CAN NOT BELIEVE YOU-"
"Jinx...let me finish," Kid Flash interrupted. "Look..I read your journal...it was wrong...I know. I found out you like me...and I'm just really confused about it. I really like you to...but what if I ruin? What if our enemies find out? I;m just trying to protect you, Jinx."
Jinx sat back down and nestled into his strong arms. "If you're trying to protect me," Jinx said. "Forget it." Kid Flash brushed a hair our of her face and lifted her chin with his finger. "I love you," Kid Flash whispered, his lips inches from hers.
