So, this is a Katie/Oliver story (Koliver? Oatie? Kaliver?) that I wrote a while ago, but my sister insists that it is her favorite of my stories, so I decided to upload it. If you recognize it, that's because it's posted on Wattpad, under my username chesterisaninja. Anywho, enjoy! =D

Disclaimer: Everything except the storyline belongs to J.K. Rowling, not me.

I sighed as I sat in potions, doodling in my notebook absent mindedly, instead of taking notes on antidotes.

Soon, however, Professor Snape dismissed us. I glanced down at my notes. I sighed again as I looked at what I had written; Oliver Wood, surrounded in hearts, and the i dotted with one.

I walked down to lunch wondering what I meant to him. Was I a team mate? A friend? Or a girl he could like, maybe even love?

I hardly saw him this year, because Quidditch as canceled due to the Triwizard Tournament. Plus Oliver's a year older than me, so we don't have classes together.

Even so, the Yule Ball was only a week away. I didn't have a date yet, and neither did he. A couple of guys had asked me, but I'd said no, clinging to the desperate hope that Oliver would ask me.

"Katie, you're looking down. What's up?" asked Angelina as se plunked down opposite me.

"Just missing Quidditch." I said. Technically, this was partly true. But I was mostly missing Quidditch because I then I saw Oliver more.

"That all?" asked Alicia, who was sitting beside me.

"Well... I don't have a date to the Yule Ball yet." I admitted, as it was a bigger part of the problem.

"Why else?" asked Leanne patiently, who was sitting on the other side of me.

"That's all." I lied quickly.

"Haha, very funny." said Leanne. It's a pity sometimes that she knows me so well. Then she pulled out my potions notebook. "Let's see what you were doodling today?" she said mischievously and began flipping through the pages.

"Leanne, please don't!" I begged.

"You're crazy, Katie." Angelina said, rolling her eyes. "Now Alicia and I are curious. What is it this time, Leanne?"

Yes, my friends make a regular habit of checking what I doodle in class. They say it helps them understand me better. I think it's just because they can't find my diary, and they want to find out my secrets somehow.

Leanne displayed the page on the table.

I groaned, and hid my face in my hands.

"Ooh! Someone's got it bad for Oliver Wood!" Alicia teased.

"Shut up." I told them through my hands. "Please just put it away before someone sees."

"Fine." Leanne sighed, and put my notebook back into my bag, which I picked up before they could dig through the rest of my books.

"I'm not hungry anymore." I told my friends. "I'm gonna go chill in the common room. I've got homework to do. See ya later."

"See you, Katie-Cat!" Angelina called after me as I walked away.

"Don't call me that!" I called back over my shoulder, smiling.

I really don't know why I put up with them, but for some incredibly bizarre reason, I do.

I was walking up the stairs when Oliver came up beside me. My heart beat sped up rapidly.

"Hey Katie." He said, looking so perfect without even trying.

"Hi Oliver!" I said back.

"You were looking a little down at lunch. What's up?" He asked, his warm brown eyes staring into mine.

I tried not to be distracted by them and very nearly failed. I shrugged. "Lots of homework. And... I miss Quidditch." I said, trying to sound offhand.

Oliver nodded "Yah, me too." He paused for a second and glanced over at me. Then, he said "So... um, will you go to the Yule Ball with me Katie?"

"I..." I was shocked. Overjoyed, yes, but shocked none the less. "I'd love too." I finally managed to stammer out.

"Cool." Oliver smiled at me. "Well, see you around, Katie!" he said, and walked off.

I remained rooted in the spot, too overjoyed to do anything but grin idiotically.

Things were finally starting to look up.
