Percy Jackson, all powerful son of Poseidon was tired.

Not just because of the fact he had already been through a war and almost all the steps leading up to it, but because he wanted more than anything to just rest and relax. To be at Camp Half-Blood and train, play capture the flag, hang out with Annabeth.

He had almost finally felt peaceful and content when Hera decided to pluck him up, swipe his memory and take him to a place where if they know who he was, he'd be killed. He gained the trust of the Romans and was just about to peacefully bring together the two camps and reunite with his family, when Leo fired at the camp.

Percy knew it wasn't actually Leo, of course, but who else did he have to blame it on? He had gone on the quest, earned their trust, became a leader (Even though he really didn't want to. Although right after, feelings of guilt hit him for yelling at Leo. Sure, he was loyal to the Roman camp, but he was also loyal to Camp Half-Blood and his Leo didn't do it then Percy was content with that. He went up to Leo and apologized.

Then after having to face his fear of water-no, of suffication- and leaving Annabeth to her solo quest, he just sat down and realized how tired he was.

Yet He kept moving, because that's what you do when you're a demigod. You go through war and Hades and keep fighting. Was it worth it for the statue? If it meant bringing the camps to peace, then maybe it was. And they found it.

They had done it.

They had defeated some of the giants, found the intimidating Athena statue, Annabeth was alive and even though they still had to go defeat Gaea and her crew; it was a start.

Then the silk string tugged on Annabeth's leg.

It pulled her down toward the darkness. Percy grabbed onto her, and after all they went through, after everything, he wasn't letting a string defeat them. They were dragged down farther holding onto anything, desperate. The hissing voice of Aracne floating up at them, I go to Tarturaus, you will come too.

Percy knew they were going down. And since he was he was going to make it useful. They were going to find the Doors. Determined, he made Nico promise to take the others to the House of Hades. Him and Nico didn't have the best history with promises, but he prayed to every god he hadn't made mad that Nico would follow through.

And after telling Annabeth they were gonna fall, she got the same determined look. And holding hands, together, they fell into everlasting the darkness.

Percy Jackson was tired, but it looked like he had to stay awake a little longer.
