DISCLAIMER: I do not own Greek mythology or any of Rick Riordan's plots! I didn't actually include characters, but you probably get the gist!

SO! This is the first thing I'm posting that isn't TMI! It's a Percy Jackson poem about life as a demigod. And it turns out I kinda have morbid writing tendencies... Well, enjoy my short little poem! :)

Battling life without your choice.
Training and training
You are a warrior.
You are a hero.
The mortals may not know of you
But you still protect them.

Monsters trying to kill you
Day in and day out
Get to camp.
Train.
Stay safe there.
Monsters can not go past the border.

Orange shirts all around.
Just be thankful they're not stained red.
You'll see too much
See too many things stained red.
Death sucks.
But we must endure.

Fight. Fight. Fight.
The only way to stay alive.
You've trained for this.
Now you must fight to live.
But you don't fight well enough.
At least you get Elysum

You can try again
Try twice more for Isles of the Blessed.
Or stay here
Amidst all the dead.
Is there really ever a rest?
Eternally tormented in the Underworld
No matter how nice your place
You stay.
