Meaning
At 10:30pm on a rainy November day Ryuken's life changed forever. At 10:30pm on November 6th, Kanae gave birth to their son..Uryu. It was all rather surreal for Ryuken, to see this little boy who had lived in his beloved wife's womb for the past 9 months. Now they were face to face. Ryuken smiled at how curious baby Uryu was, he seemed to be taking in his new surroundings, and all the sounds that came with them.
"He has his mother's eyes.." Ryuken thought with a smile. It was true, Uryu had Kanae's beautiful sapphire blue eyes. Kanae's giggle broke Ryuken out of his thoughts, and he shifted his attention to his exhausted, yet glowing wife.
"He has your nose Ryuken, isn't he just adorable?" Kanae said smiling down at their son, who looked back at his mother with love.
Ryuken chuckled and sat next to Kanae.
"So he does.."
Kanae smiled when baby Uryu started to coo and babble a little in baby talk.
"I wonder what he's trying to say?"
"He's probably trying to tell you how much he loves you Kanae.."
Kanae blushed a little and said:
"I love you too Uryu, you and your father mean the world to me..I'm so thankful that we're a family now."
Ryuken smiled and held onto one of Uryu's small hands.
"We both love you too Kanae, and I promise I'll do everything in my power to protect Uryu. I'd give my very life for him.."
Kanae smiled, with happy tears in her eyes!
"Thank you Ryuken.."
Ryuken gave Kanae and nod and leaned in to gently kiss her.
"Even if Uryu hates me for being so protective, I won't ever let harm come to him. Protecting our family will become the new meaning of my life."
