Puppy Love

by Lee lover forever

Hi! This is a birthday present for my sister and friend on Raven Black, Sakura-Haruno! It's my first KibaxSaku story, I hope she likes it, as well as the rest of you! Enjoy! Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto

Sakura tiredly began her walk home from training. It had been one of the most tiring days in her life. Today Gai's team came to do training with her, Naruto, and Sasuke and...well, let's just say it wasn't exactly relaxing.

Dragging her feet along lazily, Sakura continued to walk home when she heard, "Hey Sakura." Looking to her right, she saw Kiba and Akamaru.

"Oh, hey Kiba," she said tiredly. "What're you doing out here?"

"Nothing much, just taking Akamaru for a walk before it gets dark," he explained. He studied the tired expression on Sakura's face, then asked, "Are you o.k.?"

"I had training with Lee's team today, but I think I'll live," she joked.

"Well that's good to hear," Kiba said, laughing. "Why don't we sit down and talk, I can't remember the last time we saw each other." He chuckled. "Besides, you look like you need to anyway."

"That's a good idea," Sakura agreed, quickly adding, "and I think my legs will fall off if I don't sit down."

So the two sat down (obviously) in the grass. As soon as Kiba sat next to Sakura, Akamaru trotted over to them and jumped in Sakura's lap, then curled up and stayed there. "Aw!" she exclaimed with a smile, beginning to pet him. When she did, Akamaru barked happily, his tail wagging.

"Wow, he must really like you," Kiba said, smiling as well.

"Really?" Sakura asked, looking at Kiba.

He nodded. "Akamaru doesn't do that to just anyone right away."

Sakura grinned and continued to pet Akamaru for a little more, then asked Kiba, "So, how have things been?"

He shrugged. "O.k. I guess. I've been busy with training, nothing new. How about you?"

"Same here."

"Oh."

"Yeah."

There was a slightly awkward silence between the two, when Kiba randomly said to Sakura, "I like your hair."

"Really?" she asked, surprsised by the sudden compliment.

"Mhm."

"Oh...thanks."

"No problem," Kiba said, turning his head the other way. Sakura noticed as soon as he did.

"Kiba, what's wrong?" she asked, a little worry in her voice.

"Nothing!" he immediately exclaimed.

"Then why'd you turn away?" Sakura asked. "Come on, it has to be something!"

"Fine, I'll tell you," Kiba said reluctantly with a sigh. He turned to face her again and at what Sakura saw, she gasped. Kiba's face was red. "I uh...kind of..."

"Like me?" Sakura said, finishing the sentence for him. Kiba nodded, waiting for her to be horrified and walk away or slap him across the face and say she was taken. Surprisingly, she didn't do either.

"Wow, that's really sweet of you, thanks," Sakura said, smiling.

"You mean that?" Kiba asked, his eyes wide.

"Of course!" she exclaimed. "It's not every day a guy walks up to me and says that."

As all of this was happening, Akamaru, who was watching the whole thing, jumped off of Sakura's lap and with his mouth, put Kiba's hand on top of Sakura's.

"Akamaru!" Kiba yelped.

Sakura remained silent, for this time she was blushing too. She moved closer to Kiba and softly kissed him on the cheek. "Thanks again Kiba. I have to go now though, it's getting late-" she was cut off by Kiba kissing her on the lips. Sakura's eyes widened, but she kissed back.

"See you later," Kiba said with a smile.

Sakura was in slightly in a daze but said, "O.k., see you later!" She waved and walked off.

Kiba sat there for a minute, then looked at Akamaru and grinned. "You sly dog," he said, playfully noogying him. Akamaru barked happily and jumped into Kiba's jacket. He smiled. "Come on, let's go home."

There you go! I didn't like it much, I think it could've been better. Oh well...anyway, happy birthday sis!
