Naruto threw his pillow at the wall. Sasuke pursed his lips. He was coincerened about Naruto, but he just refused to show it. Besides, Itachi taught him alot.
"Are you alright?"
"NO!"
Naruto sighed and plopped on his bed. He had failed his first serious mission. Sassuke knew how he felt. He seated himself quietly by Naruto's wondow and plucked lazily at the violin strings by the window.
"Play me something?"
"Sure."
Sasuke hoisted the violin to his shoulder and plucked some more strings to tune. He and Itachi used to pratice together all the time. He then began to gently grind the strings together and a beautiful melody flew into the air.
All the while, Sasuke let himself be temporarily lost in the music- something he rarely had a chance to do. Naruto hummed an inchoherent tune and bobbed his head to the beat. When Sasuke felt he had played enough, he noticed that his friend was asleep. Smiling ever so gently, he placed the violin down on the ground and placed a chaste kiss on Naruto's forehjead, althoigh today he still didnt know why.
Looking back at those memories with Naruto, Sasuke couldnt help but smile. Maybe when he destroyed the village, he could leave Naruto be.
