Prologue

He walked on the cool sand watching the sunset. With all its glory he couldn't help himself to appreciate its beauty. He left his gaze on the setting sun and thought for a moment. He smiled and looked down on the shell he stepped on; it is a rare shell which resembles the necklace he is wearing. While picking it up, a grin formed on his lips. He is smiling but his eyes were moistened with tears. He tried to let his tears fall but it couldn't. Years of crying dried up his eyes; he couldn't cry anymore.

Sure is, this guy was one of the most eligible bachelor during his time. The sought after husband of every woman in their "society" and an heir to one of the most prestigious clan in Japan. But years easily gone by and his charisma faded like an old painting.

Unlike his young features then during his highschool days, lines started to form on his forehead. He has lips that were dark and weary. His hair is still black but more with sophistication unlike the untidy hair he used to wear. But the part of him that really changed was his eyes. His eyes, which used to have a sparkle, were now gloomy and deep.

Everyone would know who this guy is but nobody ever knew how his life went through. He is the cover model of every business magazines and newspapers in the country. He is one of the best business tycoons and came from a clan who keeps his country moving. His family was regarded as the richest family in Japan. He is rich... but unhappy.

He thought he heard the seagulls call his name so thoughts that were on his mind suddenly went off. He thought someone called his name; the call that he was dying to hear for years. He smiled to himself because he knew that he would never hear that call again and that he would never hear her call his name again.

He let a deep sigh and closed his eyes. After this day, he will forget everything. He will move on. And he will let go. Still eyes closed, he held his necklace and smiled. Then memories flashed from his mind...
