A loud ringing pierced Kagome's ears as she rolled over in bed. She jammed a pillow over her exposed ear in order to drown out the sound.
No use.
The ringing continued seemingly louder with each ring. She opened her eyes. Sunlight pierced her retinas and she shut her eyes quickly.
Retreat.
Reaching her arm out she knocked her alarm clock off of the night-stand next to her bed. The clock made a loud smacking sound as it hit the floor but it just kept ringing.
"Alright already! I'm up..." Kagome whined. She flung her bed spread to the floor dropping it on top of the still ringing clock. She opened her eyes yet again but this time she did not retreat. She was ready for the bright sunlight. She squinted then sat up. The alarm was still ringing. Kagome reached down and shut the alarm off but left the clock sitting on the floor.
She stood up stretching her arms above her head and gazing into the mirror in front of her. She was sporting a black spaghetti strap top with a small white skull and cross-bone design on the front and a very small, very short matching pair of shorts. Her long black hair hung down to the middle of her back, matted up because of her restless night of sleep. Her bright eyes stared back at her, the unusual look of two different eye colors startled her yet again. Her eyes used to be a dark dull green, but the day she turned sixteen, they began to change. Her right eye began to lighten up and her left eye, turned blue. It was a dramatic change and even three months later, she wasn't used to it. She looked down at the rest of her body, starting at her feet. Perfect. Calves, shaped perfectly. Thighs rounded off nicely. Butt, perfect. Hips and waist, perfect. Stomach flat and just muscular enough, a small little ring hanging from just above her navel. , perky, and perfect. She couldn't understand it. She ate like a pig and yet she was disgustingly perfect. Unlike most girls, Kagome hated being perfect.
Finally, she walked towards her dresser and began rummaging through the drawers in order to find something to wear. 5:30 in the morning and she could already hear activity outside of her room. The loud clanging of pots and pans. Her caretaker obviously was already cooking what she considered breakfast. Kagome called her, her caretaker because she wasn't family. She was just someone that took care of her since her parents died.
