Chapter 1

Harry was staying at the Burrow after the war, it was like his second home. He decided to go to the Dursley's to pick up a few things, so he apparated into the living room and what he saw made him shudder in disgust; Petunia spanking a newborn baby. The baby was crying and there was nothing Harry could do. Petunia turned around and noticed Harry.

"Oh Harry! I didn't see you come in," Petunia shouted, "Can you do me a favor?"

Harry said nothing in response.

"Fine, I'll ask you anyway. Can you please be a dear and not tell anyone about what you just saw?"

Harry glared at her, "I could do more than that," he hesitated, "I could take that baby off your hands entirely."

"Oh! Would you really? It was hard enough taking care of you and Dudley and when I found out I was pregnant again I almost got an abortion, but I thought of Dudley and what he would do if he found out what I had done. He doesn't seem like he would've cared. He hates the thing."

"I'll take him."

"Oh Harry! Thank you so much! I know that I haven't been much of a parent to you, but I want you to know how grateful I am for this."

"Don't worry about it." Harry mumbled.

He went over to the crying little baby and calmed him down. Before he disappeared into the fireplace, Petunia called out to him,

"Oh and Harry, his name is Teddy."

A handful of memories rushed through his brain as he remembered Lupin and Tonks taking care of Teddy right before they died. Teddy died last year of a brain tumor. I single tear escaped Harry's eyes and he turned away so that Petunia didn't see him fall apart.

"Thank you." He mumbled as he apparated back to the Burrow.

"Harry where did you get that baby?" Ginny asked

"When I appeared in the Dursley's living room, I saw Petunia spanking him. She asked me if I could keep it a secret what I had just seen. I told her that I would do more than that; I would take him"

"Oh Harry! He's adorable!"

"Ginny, his name is Teddy"

Ginny gasped and a single tear rolled down her cheek as well. She wiped it way.

"Well then, I think that this little boy needs to be changed."

"But Ginny, we haven't gotten anything we need in order to take care of a baby."

"Then it looks like we are going on a shopping spree." Ginny said, and with that they apparated into Gingotts, got money from Harry's vault and went off to Diagon Alley to find everything a baby would need.

"You know Ginny, when I picked up Teddy for the first time, I thought that maybe we could raise him together," Harry said, "It's okay if you don't want to though." Harry rushed to add while blushing furiously.

"I would love to Harry." Ginny stated

Harry let out a breath that he wasn't even aware he was holding. They smiled and picked out a ton of little onesies, boots, diapers, a diaper bag, a stroller, a high chair, a car seat, a car (Ginny insisted), wipes, blankets, and finally, a crib. When they got back to the Burrow that evening, Harry and Ginny decided that if they were going to raise a baby together, they would have to get their own place. They finally decided to fix up Harry's old place in Godric's Hallow and live there as a family. Until then, they would just stay at Grimmauld Place. Ron wasn't happy about it though. He thought that they were too young to raise a child and they wouldn't be good parents at that early age, but considering that he and Hermione had already had a little girl, Ginny and Harry ignored him.

THE NEXT MORNING

"Good morning Harry"

"Morning Gin. Ready to go to Grimmuald Place to start a family?"

"I sure am, Harry."
