The officer bursts into the hospital and looks around for a nurse, seeing one behind the desk. He quickly rushes up to her and begins talking hurriedly.
"There was a woman just admitted here. She's having a baby. Fernandes? Is she here? Where's her room?"
"Ah, yes Officer Fernandes, your wife told us to expect you. Come right this way. Last I heard she wasn't fully dilated yet."
The calm pink haired woman leads him to a room in the maternity wing. Opening the door, he sees his beautiful wife surrounded by doctors and screaming in pain. Her scarlet locks are plastered to her face.
"Erza!" He walks toward her and takes her hand. She immediately clamps down on it. The blue haired man winces in discomfort.
"I'm right here. Just breathe" He strokes her hair out of her face. Erza is silently crying from the pain of the last contraction.
"Alright Erza, you're almost there, I can see the top of the head. Push!" The doctor sits in his chair at her feet. She howls in agony as she pushes with all her might. Silence as she pants, and then a crying.
"Congratulations, its a girl!" The doctor motions Jellal over. He slowly walks toward the end of the hospital bed. Sitting in the doctor's arms was a bloody slippery little baby girl. The clamp was hovering over the umbilical cord, waiting for it to finish pulsing. After the last throb, the clamp it down and hand Jellal the scissors. His hands shake as he snips the little rope of flesh. The doctors whisk the baby to another part of the room as they trim the cord and wash the baby, weighing and diapering her once they do. Erza sits up shakily indicating that she wants her husband to sit behind her. He maneuvers his way into the spot and holds the exhausted woman in his arms. Only a few minutes later, the doctors bring their baby girl to the loving couple. As she latches onto her mother's breast, Jellal gazes down at the little bundle of life.
"So what are you going to name her?" The pink haired nurse was back to fill out the birth certificate. Erza pets the violet haired beauty nursing.
"I was thinking… Simone." She turns to look at Jellal. His face beams as he recognizes the source of the name. He nods softly cuddling his wife.
"Simone is perfect."
