Chapter 1: Oblivious Reintegration
Whenever someone terrorizes us, we wish we could secretly do something to them to make them pay for what they've done but we cannot. Anita could. Ever since Chip died at the hands of her best friend, she's been a little different you could say. And by a little different, I mean that her demonically possessed best friend bit her and transferred some of that energy into her body and left her with powers that she did not ask for. Powers she didn't ask for, however powers that do come in handy.
The last you saw of Anita Lesnicki was in a mental institute where she was labelled the 'KICKER' for kicking authority figures. The loss of her boyfriend Chip, you could say left her with a little less than she had before upstairs. No matter how psychically damaged she was, it didn't stop her from discovering the powers Jennifer gave her when she bit her. Using those powers, Lesnicki broke out of the institute and succeeded in attaining her revenge on the rock band that turned her best friend into a demon to begin with. She was never discovered and continues to live her life among the rest of us and someone who looks like us, but is not like us at all.
"So how come your last living situation didn't work out? Was there a specific reason?" Anita was searching for cheap housing in an apartment near the community college she was going to attend and Magenta was interviewing her to make sure she was a stable (not psychotic) individual.
"Oh well you could say that we didn't see eye to eye. She went after my boyfriend so I decided to get rid of her." That was as close to the truth as it was going to get without her saying her best friend killed her boyfriend so she had to kill her. I mean, what she said was slightly better and less scary sounding.
It is unclear who would agree to live with someone whose parents they have never met or why they would not ask for any additional information about their personality, but Magenta with barely more than a peanut for a brain did anyway. Six months later, when it was time to move into the apartment, Magenta brought along three other dimwitted roommates who were to live in the apartment with her and Anita (Needy as a nickname given to her by Jennifer). Needy did not complain but considering the fact that her most recent female interactions were with women in a mental facility and killing her best friend, you could say that she wasn't really up for living with a bunch of other not so intelligent girls.
Lesnicki used to be an approachable and happy young teenager, but after the death of her first love it was not so easy to open up to other women for fear of being hurt or maybe, with who she has become, she is afraid of hurting them. However, it did not stop her from at least trying to have normal and somewhat fun interactions with her roommates Magenta, Pansy, Neala, and Kitty.
As they all began to get to know each other, the roommates discovered that Anita was actually extremely humorous underneath the resting bitch face she so often displayed to the world. In addition to this discovery, Lesnicki found that despite the fact that Kitty was a control freak who liked to control everyone and everything in her path, Pansy was a spoiled sorority brat, Magenta was tone deaf and kind of a slut, and Neala was a follower of anyone, she actually enjoyed hanging out with them. It was almost as if her last year of high school had never happened, almost as if the love of her life didn't bleed out from the neck, and almost as if she did not have to kill her best friend because of the demonic energy growing inside of her….Almost…
