"You think we could fit this in a box?"

Nina turned around and saw Steve leaning against the now bare wall, his shield in his hand.

"Oh I don't know," she smirked. "Do you think you could part with it long enough to make the drive?"

"I think so," he grinned, pushing himself off the wall, stopping only to place the shield on the couch. "I mean, we're going for normal, right?"

"Normal?" Nina's eyebrows raised in amusement as she allowed Steve to pull her away from the boxes she was currently tied up with and into his arms.

"Yea. Apple pie life, a normal couple..." He trailed off, his chin resting on top of her head.

"Steve, sweetie, we have never been, quote on quote, normal. I mean, think about how we met."

"Nothing says romance quite like being held at gunpoint." He chuckled.

It had been a regular Friday morning for Nina Franklin. Casual dress in the office, she made her way down the block and towards the Starbucks on the corner. It was her usual haunt before work, the brunette popping in just long enough grab herself a large coffee and a pastry. As she waited in line, she hastily typed out a response to an email on her phone, glancing up every so often to move up with the pace of the line. Once she reached the counter the young barista gave her a bright smile, and Nina recognized her as the teen who worked every Friday morning.

"Hey Julie, how's it going?" She grinned at the young blonde girl, who had already began scribbling Nina's drink down on the side of the cup.

"Oh, it's going," the teen chuckled. "Don't know where, but it's going."

"Hang in there," Nina smiled, dropping a few bucks in the tip jar for the young college student. "Semesters almost over kiddo."

"Thanks Nina!" She beamed, handing her the bag with her breakfast. "Drink should be up shortly."

"Thanks," the brunette nodded, moving to the side to wait for her caffeine.

"Killer jacket by the way!" The teen yelled over to her, eyeing up Nina's white leather jacket, which resembled the iconic black leather jacket that Bruce Springsteen wore on the cover of his Born To Run album.

Nina chuckled, watching as a cup made its way to the counter, another barista calling out to her.

"Nina! You're up lady!"

Shaking her head, she took the cup from the skinny kids hand, and gave him a smile; she was rewarded with a toothy, brace faced smile back.

Turning, she adjusted her bag on her shoulder, taking two steps towards the door before a large man stepped in front of her.

"Oh, excuse me." Nina spoke, moving to walk around him, only stopping when his arm shot out and blocked her.

"Nice try beauty queen." The man sneered.

Just as she was about to give the guy a sarcastic answer, she saw another guy, out of the corner of her eye, pull a handgun from his jacket and wave it in the air.

"Everybody down! Now!"

The coffee shop erupted in screams as people began scampering around, some of the baristas trying to get to the back room while the customers all moved to the floor.

Quietly complying, Nina slid to the floor, clutching her purse under her arm and her coffee in her other hand.

"Oh my god..." She barely whispered.

"Everybody quiet! Come on! Shut the fuck up!" The man who had stopped Nina screamed, while the other had the handgun pointed at Julie behind the counter.

"Empty it out kid," he waved the gun back and forth at her. "Come on, let's go!"

Nina remained still, her eyes screwed shut as she tried not to listen to all the noises around her.

A sudden bang caused everyone in the shop to jump, and as Nina's eyes popped open, expecting to see the two large thugs shooting up the place, she saw Captain America standing in the middle of the store, adjusting his shield on his arm, staring down the two thugs.

"I know the price of coffee went up since the last time I did this, but I'm pretty sure holding the place up isn't the way to go."

"What are you going to do about it star spangled banner?" The one with the gun spat.

Nina watched in amazement as he moved forward, his arm that was holding the shield swinging towards the thug with the gun, sending the weapon flying through the glass storefront. The second thug, who was still standing near Nina, made a beeline for her, grabbing her purse and attempting to yank it from under her arm.

"Son, just don't." She heard Captain America say, just as he grabbed the man around the collar and pulled him from Nina's space.

The superhero easily took two generous swings at the man who had attempted to rob her, sending him unconscious on to the ground next to his cohort. As he took a final look around the store, the patrons all now scrambling off the floor and out the door with or without their beverages, the man dressed head to toe in red while and blue approached Nina.

"Ma'am, are you alright?"

Looking up, she noticed that most of his face was covered by a mask, but his eyes and mouth were clear as day.

"Y-yea..." She stuttered. "I'm fine, he barely touched me."

Nodding, captain America extended his gloved hand to her, helping her off the ground.

"Are you sure?" He asked again, and Nina couldn't help but give him a once over.

"Positive," she nodded. "I even managed to save my coffee."

The superhero gave a small laugh, and Nina couldn't help but notice just how blue his eyes were, and how nice of a smile he had.

"I best be on my way, I need to deal with the police." He gave, what looked like a sad smile.

"Right, of course," she nodded back. "Thank you again, Captain."

"My pleasure ma'am." He smiled again, watching as she turned to exit the coffee house.

With her back turned, Captain America let out a nervous breath. He had just saved a beautiful woman from getting robbed, and if he had anything to say about it, he wanted with all of his might to see her again.
