I'll always remember
It was late afternoon

Yuna stood in front of all those people around her. They were praising her, cheering her on. She had now done it. But how she wished she hadn't.

It lasted forever
And ended too soon

She was now, truly a summoner. But her heart felt empty inside. He was gone..forever. It was in actuality too overwhemling for her to cope. As she gazed about her, tears ran down her cheeks freely. Not for happiness, for sorrow and heartache.

You were all by yourself
Staring up at a dark gray sky
I was changed

It was hard to believe she was only holding him minutes ago. He finally stepped up to her for the last time. Ready and prepared to leave this world…to never see her again. He embraced her in his warmth and she lovingly accepted it, never wanting to let him go.

In places no one would find
All your feelings so deep inside

He whispered into her ear so softly she almost didn't feel it. His hand felt lighter than usual…he was really going to leave her…forever.

"I'm sorry Yuna," he said.

It was then that I realized
That forever was in your eyes

She held his hands tighter.

"For what?" she asked.

The moment I saw you cry

"For falling in love with you," he said.

I wanted to hold you
I wanted to make it go away

Tears came out of her eyes to hear him say those painful words.

"I'm not sorry for falling in love with you," she whispered.

I wanted to know you
I wanted to make your everything, all right....

He held her tighter.

"It was wrong…I just caused you more pain," he said.

I'll always remember...
It was late afternoon...

"No you didn't. You were the one that showed me love in this world. And I don't regret ever meeting you…" she smiled as she turned to face him.

In places no one would find

Her face was nearly tear stained and a few tears still came out. He gently wiped them away with his light hands.

"I don't either," he whispered as a tear fell from his eye.

It was then that I realized
That forever was in your eyes

They shared one last kiss and as they broke away from each other, they held each other's hands.

Suddenly, a bright light appeared and Jechet emerged from it. He held out his hand to him. Tidus slowly let his love go and approached his father. He turned back to look at her miserable face which was now in tears again.

"Don't forget me Yuna," he whispered.

She nodded as she clutched her staff, "I'll always remember you Tidus…I love you," she said mournfully.

He gave her one last smile and with another flash of light, he was gone. Gone forever, for her never to see him again. She collapsed in tears, the pain throbbing in her heart, never leaving her within that moment.

The moment I saw you cry

Yuna took in a long breath as she once again gazed at the people in front of her. She thought about how she could live with the pain, the sorrow, the guilt of killing her true love. She took in another long breath and looked around. She would never forget him, not ever.
