OMFG I just re-watched 'The Disir' and had this idea and I love it and hope you guys do too!

I have two multi-chapters and requests to do, but I had to get this down.

Osgar dragged himself through the undergrowth towards the trio before him. He regretted his actions towards the knights, but he didn't appreciate them handling him like cattle.

Wincing, he grabbed his robes where he had been stabbed. Stupid blasted knights. He growled internally, Always using violence. He called out to the group in front of him, two men and his king.

"My lord." He gasped, falling to one knee. Arthur strided confidently towards him and held his sword against his neck. Ignoring him, Osgar turned to face Merlin.

"My lord, I am Osgar."

Merlin recoiled in shock and Arthur stepped in front of Merlin.

"Sorcerer, you will face your king when you speak to him." Arthur spat.

"I was, Arthur Pendragon." Osgar glared at the arrogant kin, "But I'm having a bit of trouble with you standing right in front of him." Arthur did a double-take between Merlin and Osgar, his manservant had gone fantastically pale and Osgar who was looking decisively certain.

"I understand that you are injured, sorcerer, but your eyesight is not damaged in the slightest. You cannot fool me."

"Arthur Pendragon, I fear I do not have long, please move before I am forced to move you myself." Osgar spat. Arthur opened his mouth to reply when a voice was heard behind him.

"Arthur." Merlin choked out. Arthur turned in disbelief at his manservant. "Do as he says." The king, still getting over the shock of being told –yet again – what to do by his manservant, stepped aside to allow Merlin to walk towards Osgar.

"What do you want, Osgar?" Merlin said, and Arthur blanched at the quiet authority in his voice.

"My lord, I have been sent by the Disir, the voices of the Triple Goddess of the Old Religion."

"And what do they say?" Merlin said uncertainly, glancing at Arthur briefly.

"We have waited too long. Too long have the people of the Old Religion waited for their time of peace and prosperity, too long have they expected their Emrys to bring them hope. You have failed in your destiny."

"And how have I done that?" Merlin said coldly, suddenly angered by this statement. I have given everything to my destiny. He thought angrily.

"Magic has not yet returned. The gods are angry. You were given your task, as worthy beholder, to return magic back to the land." Osgar took a deep, rattling breath before continuing. "But all is not lost Emrys, you have one last chance. Take it, or lose all that is dear to you." The sorcerer reached out and grasped Merlin's hand in his own then separated their palms to reveal a coin. "This is the judgement of the Gods. But all is not lost, act on your destiny and unwind the circle of your fate." Osgar lost his balance and fell, then, releasing one final breath, slumped down into the bed of leaves beneath him.

For once, silence fell in the forest. Not even the birds dared tweet nor the streams dared gurgle. Emrys has been challenged by the gods. Merlin stared, terrified at the coin in his hand. Suddenly, the trio's heads snapped up as Leon and Percival cam barging through the undergrowth, the taller of the two carrying Gwaine in his arms and Leon assisting the no-longer-unconscious Elyan. Suddenly, Arthur voiced the first thing on everyone's mind.

"What on earth is going on?"
