A/N: Apologies for neglecting my regular stories; I'm just so busy right now that when I do get time to write I can't get my mind together to focus coherently on writing something that's part of a longer plotline. Consequently, I've instead written a poem inspired by Will.

Breach

Hold my breath
Break the surface before it breaks me
Pacify the fire
Before it burns away my skin

Beneath the veil
Stretched taut across my mind
My skull cannot confine
The beast raging within

From bone and feathers
The apparition dances
Black and blackness
Tricks eyes wide open in the dark

Flies are feasting
On a fresh corpse growing rotten
And I have forgotten
Myself, or how to see you for what you are

The swarm devours
Bites down on flesh turned inwards
It caves and breaks the surface
And swallows me up whole

Time is tripping
Slipping past while the clock is ticking
Double time that denies
And defies control

Under the pressure
Cracks are forming
And I bleed out through the fractures
While others are bleeding in

Another name
Ingrains itself into my brain
And I can't hold back the tide
Before a new nightmare begins

Tread the path of sleep
Over your deceit I stumble
My foundations crumble
And the pieces all come tumbling down

Shellshocked in the kitchen
Hit the ground with eyes wide open
Watch your back for me
Because I can see you now

Lock me in this prison
Turn your blind eyes from the bars
But under the pressure
Cracks are forming
