Have you ever had that feeling where you felt like your heart was being ripped out of your chest?(a/n not literally)
That's how I've felt for the past two months, living in constant darkness and depression because of her. The only thing she told me was "I'm sorry Percy, it's just I don't love you anymore." And then she went and started dating this new Apollo kid Only a few days after our breakup.
Percy POV
I woke up feeling the same as always, like a bottomless pit of despair, depression, and anger. "maybe a shower will help" I think to myself, water helps to calm me, most of the time that is. Right as I start to put my clothes back on after my shower, I hear a knock at the door, "one minute" I yell.
I finally reach the door and open it. It was the only person I never wanted to see again, him, Jake, the one who took away my happiness "Leave" I say with a deadly calm voice, I could see the fear glint in his eye but he hid it quickly resuming his former posture he said to me "We are having capture the flag tonight and Chiron wanted me to run to all of the cabins including your lonely ass cabin" he said with a arrogant smile, his voice dripping with spite. "Is that all you came for Jacob?" I ask sarcastically. He walked away with a sneer and as I shut the door I smile, knowing that if he's on the other team, I can get my revenge.
1 hour before capture the flag, Percy POV
As I strapped on my armor, I laughed thinking about the different ways I could maim and hurt him, I was letting my inner demons control my emotions, the Conch Horn blew in the distance.
"It's time for some fun" I think to myself as I run out the door to the arena.
"Campers calm down!" Chiron shouted over all of the talking campers, they all went silent because Chiron rarely shouted "I will be picking two team Captains" Chiron was interrupted by half of the Ares's cabin screaming me, He Responded with a Glare that hushed the entire cabin.
"Nico and Annabeth, and they will be choosing cabins in that order, Nico go" Chiron said Quickly
"Poseidon cabin"Nico yelled and I walked up with a confident smile, I only felt anger and a sadistic joy. "Apollo Cabin" Annabeth shouted, she tried to sound confident, but I knew she was doubting herself and her team already, Jake looked at me and smiled arrogantly. The team choosing went on for 20 minutes until the our team was Nico, Percy, Ares's Cabin, Aphrodite's Cabin, Hermes's Cabin and Zeus's Cabin. Annabeth's team had the rest of the cabins. The two teams went separate ways and found different flag areas, my team's flag was placed on the top of a hill. The Conch horn blew in the distance.
