"I know what you believe," she quietly said, "but you must realize that your beliefs were wrong if you actually love me." The man, Josh, was glancing around quickly. He had a confused look on his face that quickly morphed into one of hurt. He looked up at his girlfriend standing in front of him with her wings outstretched. Her wings were the most stunning things he had ever seen, but that did not change the fact that she was a metahuman. He quietly said "I loved you with all my heart, and told you all my secrets, and this is how you repay me? My beliefs were never wrong and you are proving that to me right now." His girlfriend had a hurt look on her face when she said "I did not tell you because I was a thought you would hate me and turn me into the police." "Yeah well, that did not work out too well for you" Josh said, his voice slowly gaining in volume "I always believed that metahunans were lying cheats, and you just proved that right. I trusted you!" he screamed. "You know why I hate metahumans! Why would you lie to me about this? Maybe if you had let me know, I would not have been so biased towards your species. But now it's too late." The girl turned around with a fearful expression when she heard the door slam open. She watched with a fearful expression as a 20 police officers with special guns poured into the house. The girl screamed and screamed and was finally quieted when an officer managed to hit her with a tranq dart. The police dragged her out of the house and into the van. One officer stayed behind and quietly said "I know this is hard, but you did the right thing." Josh quietly nodded as a single tear crawled out of his eye. Only when the officers left, did he let himself cry.
