The dark mage slipped onto the table, reassuring that the distance between the two is comfortable enough for Lon'qu. Tharja may be a dark mage, but her intentions weren't ever to cause harm to those that she held trust in - especially Lon'qu, who's gynophobia made it difficult for him to even be around women.

The myrmidon looked up from his quiet gaze at the surface of the wood table, and mumbled to himself. "…"

"Lon'qu," she called out, hands on the table. He recoiled because of this, and she cleared his throat casually. Tharja saw the hand that moved over to his side, as if ready to grab his sword, making her eyebrow arch. "I do hope you won't attack me."

"Nonsense." Lon'qu avoided her purple irises. "I'm being wary of our surroundings."

"Being wary about women?" she pressed with an eerie chuckle. Lon'qu failed to realize if she was being sarcastic or serious - or maybe even both. With a swallow, the myrmidon relaxed his body, while Tharja spoke up again. "By the way," the mage settled her tome onto the surface of the desk, "I'm… grateful for taking that hit for me yesterday in battle." Her voice grew lighter, already feeling the awkwardness looming. It wasn't everyday that she would thank someone, but this was a start.

"Don't mention it."

"I won't."

"Hn." He unsheathed a dagger from one of his pockets, and examines it quietly. "Just be more careful around the enemy. One wrong move, and you'll be destined to perish."

Tharja exhaled a creepy, yet light laugh. "I'm not easy to kill. My spells cause major damage."

Lon'qu almost scoffed. "Whatever fits, woman."
