'Joshua! Wait up! STOP!'
'Neku! Hurry up! Your going to miss it!'
Neku smiled at his friend, and moved as fast as his young legs could go. Which was fast. Trust me. He dodged through the crowd, little did he know that the people were moving in the other direction. He could just see a glimpse of ash-blonde before it disappeared again, lost in the crowd.
'Joshua! JOSHUA!'
Neku yelled as loud as he could, before many different screams were heard. Before he could say another word, he saw Joshua on the ground. He sped up, destined to reach his best friend. Then, everything blurred, and before it faded out Neku managed to mumbled a word,
'No...'
Our little hero woke up with a jolt and looked around, confused. He saw the ash-blonde and tried to talk to him. Except,he couldn't. His throat felt dry, and he had a major headache.
'Lie down, kid. It'll help.'
A voice came out from the shadows. It felt calming. Neku did as the male voice said, but with caution. The voice belonged to a man 'bout 25, give or take some years. The man shook his head in disapproval and said,
'The world today. People should take more caution for younger ones.'
The man turned his head to look at Neku. Neku stared right back at the man, daring him to move. Then the man held out his hand to Neku, and the orange head took it. He pulled Neku up and looked at Joshua.
'Is this your friend?'
'Yeah. Do you know him?'
'…'
'Are you ok Mister?'
'Huh? Oh, yeah! I'm fine! Anyway, you can call me Mr. Hanekoma if you like. It's really up to you.'
Neku smiled. He really liked this man. There was something about him that he knew he could trust him.
'My name's Neku.'
'Ok, come on Neku, let's get you and your friend up and out of here.'
