Prologue
Humankind has expanded across the stars leading to a golden age. A time of unprecedented Peace and prosperity it was a time when people were more concerned with pleasure then the necessities of life. People without the need to worry about food, housing, or care devoted themselves to higher pursuits medical knowledge able to prolong the human lifespan from decades to centuries and the ability to grow entirely new body it got to the point that as human born completely normal with all its problems  could simply make a new body frowning it to their specifications and transfer their mind to it becoming a new being entirely high technology able to completely remake entire worlds in the span of a few years turning blasted hell holes into new eadens or even designer planets or robotics able and intelligent enough to perform the same tasks that any human could war had become a concept only found in history books after all why would we need to fight one another when all of our needs were provided for That was until they found us At first the invaders went unnoticed infiltrating our worlds infecting us with their insidious machinations they were the Raaourasa organic viruses born of the void between our Galaxy and the next they were ancient beings wandering the universe looking for civilizations to consume to add to their numbers they took our worlds from us taking our technology and adapting it to there own purposes using our own achievements to kill us entire worlds were razed of all life ripping the people apart in just 100 years they undid thousands of years of progress for how could we fight back we as a society had not had to fight a war in thousands of years what military assets we had were not mentioned for fighting a serious prolonged fight or fleets were made for trade and transport with low powered arms for mining and point defense against rogue asteroids our ground forces were ceremonious ment for defending diplomats when they were send to resolve arguments between systems We had no defence against such a foe Our leaders after deliberating came up with the only solution that made sense the choose to abandon the majority of humanity to the great enemy and relocate the majority of all strategic and sensitive assets to the inner worlds particularly to earth and its support worlds worlds that were dedicated to production usually entirely manned by robots and controlled by complicated AI some were simply worlds used for storage others were agri worlds covered entirely with bio towers rising into space growing food for entire sections of the galaxy earth was of course not the only world that humanity retreated to other such as prometheus began to build new ships and train new troops to fight the war old files were unsealed and ancient terrible weapons were returned to light new ships were built and humanity began to prepare cultural norms were replaced with rigid caste systems and the liberties we had enjoyed for millennia were abandoned New soldiers were made prying all of humanity's vast knowledge new body's were made for those who volunteered their minds transferred and reformed these were humanity's last resort a weapon to end all war These were the void walkers
