prologue
A young woman was walking down from the cemetery after visiting her husbands grave.
'Oh Katsuya it seems such a long time since you last held me in your arms. Oh what's this?'she looked up to find a young child dressed in black screaming 'it's not my fault!IT'S NOT MY FAULT!'
"Hiya squirt. What's up?"the woman asked as she walked over to the orange haired boy. He just looked at her for a moment, then went back to staring at his feet.
Kyo's pov
'What's with this woman?why won't she just leave me alone, i don't want her pity. I'm fine on my own...' I sat there, refusing to give in to the tears, swinging my legs and staring at my shoes
"Come on, your shoes aren't that interesting are they?"She asked me. I didn't know her. She was a stranger,mother said never talk to strangers because they might be killers.
'And she'd know all about that, she killed herself didn't she?Or am I the killer? That's what everyone keeps telling me. "It's your fault your mother died. Your a monster"
"What's that?your mother died? I've just lost my husband, i know how you feel"the lady said to me the sparkle of happiness fading from her eyes. I realized then that i wasn't thinking, i had spilled my innermost thoughts to someone I'd just met.
"um..." i sniffed " my name's Kyo."
"nice to meet you little Kyo. I'm Kyoko. And this is my daughter Tohru. It's her 6th birthday today I'm sure she'd love for you to come play."Kyoko's eyes had once again lit up as she put away the photo of a brunette girl, and dragged me to her apartment

"Tohruu?mommy's home. and she's brought someone to see you."Kyoko was louder than before, she seemed excited and happy. I stood back and watched her hug her daughter.
'My mother could never hug me like that, my father never wanted to hug me like that.' I walked up to them and put my arms round Kyoko, i started to cry.
"Little Kyo?you're a cat?"Kyoko asked. Her face was a surprise, everyone else's was pity and fear, hers was shock and amusement. Her daughter was slowly walking towards the kitchen with a bowl of fish in her hands but she tripped along the way.
"Please don't tell anyone" I pleaded with her,as she started to pet me.
"awwww little Kyo can purr!"she said with a grin on her face."I know!Tohru can we have fish tonight?"
I changed back knowing i was as red as my hair,i ran to the bathroom to get changed.
