Katniss entered her room at the training center. She was unnerved to see the girl she failed to save in the woods. Katniss walked into the bathroom to take a shower and sort out her thoughts of dinner and her situation.
Meanwhile, in the secret rooms adjacent to the training center the avox waits and a light goes on with a ding telling her she may now straighten up her room for the assigned tribute. All tributes are assigned to a floor/district and then the female avoxes wait on the female tribute and so forth. So it was not by a large coincidence that the girl that Katniss failed to save in the woods was her own personal avox slave.
She looks around the room and finds a pile of clothes on the floor. She cleans up accordingly and lays out the clothes Katniss will need in the morning for her first training day.
Just then Katniss came out of the shower, her eyes fixed on her avox as she realizes what will happen. She asks the Avox girl to bring the clothes to Cinna for her. The girl nods accepting her new task.
"I'm sorry" says Katniss and a tear runs down her cheek, "I could… I mean I should have saved you"
The avox girl points to her chest and then to her "If you did you would be an avox too" she means to say, but she can't because the Capitol surgeons removed her tongue. The change of expression on Katniss's face shows that she understands. Just then Katniss leans over and kisses her.
Katniss pulls away and mutters "sorry" avoiding eye contact with the avox girl. "I mean I don't even know your name"
"herpelupgbbgbgb" says he avox girl. She can't really talk because she is an avox.
"I'm sorry" says Katniss, "but I don't understand. Maybe you can act it out or something" The avox takes Katniss's hand and starts to hit her hand against hers in the shapes of letters kind of like how Hellen Keller learns to talk in the Miracle Worker. Katniss has no idea what she just wrote, but says "aw that's a pretty name".
The avox blushes and then kisses Katniss again. Katniss French kisses her this time and the avox can't return the favor because she has no tongue because she is an avox. Then Katniss feels the stub of her tongue and it turns her on. Katniss then pulls down the avoxes pants and learns that an avox girl would have her vagina sown shut so she could not reproduce. And the boys will have their genitalia also removed accordingly for a similar reason, but they are allowed to keep one testicle to play with for when they get bored. Katniss sees this and gets pissed!
"I am about to die and you don't even have a vagina!" she shouts. The avox cries and leaves the room. "GOD DAMN IT I'M HORNY!" she leaves and goes to knock on the door she believes is Peeta's, but Effie Trinket answers instead (TO BE CONTINUED)
