Sleeping

Jack wakes up one night and looks at his team sleeping. The way a person sleeps shows a lot about themselves. One-shot. Rated K cause nothing really happens. A little fluff maybe?

The way a person sleeps tells a lot about their personality. Weather they're comfortable in their surroundings, if they want people to notice them or if they want people to hold them. Jack looked at his team lying splayed out across two couches and the floor in-between. Each one of them slept in different positions, they all had different ways they felt safe.

Owen took an entire couch to himself; he was lying on his back with one leg flung over the back of the couch and the other resting on the armrest. One of his arms was dropped over the side of the couch and was reaching down, his face was pressed up against the back and he was snoring softly. The pillow he had been using was lying on the ground, thrown out of the way.

Gwen was on the other couch and was more or less mirroring Owen, except she lay on her stomach, her head facing away from the couch. One arm draped over the side, one leg resting against the back of the couch. Her head was resting on a pillow and the armrest and she would move every few minutes.

Tosh was on the same couch as Gwen, but they could both fit because Tosh was curled up in a little ball in the corner of the couch. Her arms were wrapped around a pillow and her legs were tucked up against her. Her back was to the couch and she barely twitched as she slept.

Ianto was the only one on the ground. He was on his side, facing the center of the Hub with his back to the couch. His pillow was next to him and he was more or less curled around it. One arm on top of the pillow and his head sort of resting on it, he barely moved or made any noise at all.

Jack knew he slept on his back, nothing special or anything. He just lay on his back with his head on the pillow and his arms on his stomach. Resting. Like he always did.

They all looked so peaceful when they slept, there was the occasional nightmare, but you couldn't be a Torchwood operative without them. Its what woke up Jack and got him thinking about this in the first place. He sighed and lay down again, maybe tonight they'd get full nights sleep and not interrupted by the rift. Maybe.
