Meanwhile in the heart of Westopolis, Dr.Ivo Eggman and his assistant Maria were working on artificially making a chaos emerald. James had always carried achaos emerald with him since he was young, as one appeared on his night stand as a child. "Maria, what's the chance of failure on this test?!" Eggman asked excited for his advancement in science, to which his assistant replied "75% chance of failure!" Eggman sighed, this ment death for everyone working at CHAOS Labs, Eggman's company. "I LOVE YOU MARIA!" Eggman shouted, hitting the button which caused an explosion which sent a wave of pure chaos energy throughout Westopolis, killing all of his employees… And himself. The wave effected multiple people, including a pure brown hedgehog with emerald green eyes, an orange fox, and more, including James. Hours pass and his mother Shadow, father Jim, and of course Ginger, get thenews that he is in a coma.James's parents broke down but Ginger went in to speak with him. "I will always love you, I'll miss you, James if you wake up sooner than the year the doctor gives you. You'll get something special for your birthday." she said and kissed his cheek.
