Renesmee POV
Jacob drew his fist back, ready to punch the wall, but I slide in.
"Jacob, it's not worth it, it's useless." I whisper this into his ear as I slip a kiss onto his cheek. I could hear his heartbeat slow down as he kissed me back.
"We have to save him" Jacob yelled as a single teardrop flew out of the corner of his eye. I wipe it off, along with all my own tears.
"We will find him" I reply with a sure confidence. Didn't he know that I love our little E.J as much as he did? Maybe even more? Edward sighed at how easily Jacob was aggravated, but then slipped me a small smile. No doubt reading my mind and having flash backs to when he thought he loved Bella more, but Bella thought she loved him more. I gave a mental eye roll, trying to lighten things up. At this point, I wasn't afraid, our baby wasn't stupid, and he had a knack for talking his way out of things, almost the opposite of me in a way. He had a charming face (no doubt inherited from Jake) that could get him out of anything. Even though I wasn't afraid, I will admit that I am worried, but I still try to stay relatively calm, for Jake's sake. E.J was Jacob's pride and love, he claims he almost loves E.J almost as much as he loves me. At this moment, Jacob was frantic, he wold do anything to get E.J back. He was that parent. The overprotective one, which made this that much harder for him. Though he was overprotective of E.J Jacob could be pretty harsh on E.J, so he thinks E.J ran away because of him. I have a different theory, I think E.J is kidnapped by a vampire who is creating another newborn vampire army, but I didn't voice this aloud, though I knew Edward would hear my thoughts any way. If I said this out loud Jacob was sure to beak something... or everything.
"Jacob, there is no need to be afraid. Emmett and Jasper are already searching the frontier for any possible clues or trails." Edward said.
"I am not afraid, I couldn't care less what Emmett and Jasper are doing, but I can't just stand here and let E.J be in danger," Jacob roared through the storm thundering on his face "He can't be in danger, he shouldn't be, this is all my fault. I have to do something." I let him cry out his soul on my shoulder as Bella came over and gave him a tight squeeze. All through this she was quiet, but suddenly she took charge.
"Today at sun down we will set out searching through the forest and town in pairs." Bella ordered. ", Edward and I will search Forks. Jake, you and Nessie get La Push. Tell Seth and Leah to stay at the house in case E.J comes back. The rest of you are to split the remaining ground with your mate, got it?" Alice smiled at how much Bella was bossing everyone around. When it came to a family member's safety she was all over it. I just prayed that her plan would at least give Jacob some hope to hang on to, by now he was already losing faith, though it had only been a total of 2 days. E.J wasn't the only one in danger, I'm sure if we don't find him soon Jacob will go insane with worry.
