Summary:Rei Hino falls in love with Heero Yui before she realizes he is a race car driver, can she
forget the tragic accident of her former love, the death of her fiance and let herself fall in

Prologue
Their lips seperated as he drew back from her. Her diamond engagement ring glimmered in the
adoring sunlight. He slowly dropped his arms releasing her. "Be careful." she whispered hugging
him.
He smiled reassuringly."I will Love."he mumbled. She let him kiss her once more, tangling her
long, slender fingers through his black hair, his brown eyes twinkled as they seperated once
again, and he headed for his car. She sat down in the crowd to watch. He drove his car to line
up with the rest.
She closed her amethyst eyes as a tear slid down her cheek.
Tires schreeched, the smell of burning rubber reached her nose. She watched from the crowd in
horror as his race car spun uncontrollably. She shrieked 'NO!' Her body wouldn't move, it was
frozen. 'DEREK!' She heard herself yelling. His car crashed into the wall. Her heart shred into
pieces as tears flew down her cheeks. Fire roared consuming the car, and the car blew up. Pieces
of steel flew all over the track. Her heart blew up with the car. Other racers stopped seconds
before they would have plowed into his car, when it was all still there, now debris flawed the
track. A siren wailed as an ambulance raced onto the field. The crowd was loud, everyone talking,
everyone gasping, some wailing, some crying, some just silent. Her world became quiet, dark.
She opened her eyes as a voice brought her back from her flashback. "Rei?" asked the voice.
Another tear slid down her cheek.
