It couldn't be over.

Gin could not, would not, accept that result to his actions. He had the hogyoku, a small gem but extremely powerful, in the palm of his hand. Yet Aizen stood strong against Gin's unexpected knowledge and betrayal. Gin's betrayal had surprised him, worth something in and of itself. Whatever Aizen's plan was, he wouldn't let it happen as long as he existed.

But I can't let it go.

The only reason he'd injured Rangiku as he had was the knowledge he'd have the hogyoku. She was laying on a roof a short distance off, her reiatsu cut off from the rest of her soul to prevent Aizen from sensing she'd been left alive. Even so, if Gin didn't get back to her soon with the the hogyoku...

I won't let her go.

There was no point in leading Aizen back to her, now that he knew Gin was a traitor. He'd always known they were close, never suspecting how Gin really felt.

All for her.

He'd been in charge of the group. Gin had never known exactly what they'd done to Rangiku the day they met, but due to her weak state it had to be something horrible. He'd saved her and vowed to find the man in charge.

Aizen.

Of course Rangiku had followed them to Karakura town. Why had Gin expected anything less? After he'd stabbed her the betrayed expression and empty eyes she wore were more then he could stand. He'd whispered words, brief, and vague.

I'm sorry. It will all make sense. Even if I have none, you will get more time.

And then he'd returned to Aizen's side, his former captain unsuspecting of his intent or knowledge. Gin had believed the hogyoku was the source if his power.

No. I knew better. I hoped.

Gin never believed in 'greater beings'. They were Shinigami-Gods of Death. What could be higher then them? But as Aizen entered a new form he hoped he was wrong. As he charged, only one thought was in his mind.

Save her.
