Watches book 1

It's time.

Prologue

I wanted it so bad. That watch. Every day after school, I would ride my bike to Kippers antiques on the corner of Brookline street. But, unfortunately, I would never afford it. I only could look through the glass case. Man. I wanted the watch.

Sometimes, it would stop ticking. I'd tap the case, and it would start back up again. The watch was made entirely of metal, and had a leather strap. The arms were slick, and the body was urban. I needed it.

As I rode home from school, I would ask kipper if he had lowered the price. Normally heed say no, but today...

Chapter 1

Hey, buddy?" Said kipper as I looked through the case. "You really want that, don't you?" I nodded, as the shy element of my personality kicked in. "Ey, come here." He sighed, and leaned on his desk. "I'll give it to you." My face brightened. "Really!?" I yelled, despite my shyness. He smiled, and gestured for me to pick it up. I opened the case with an elated feeling, and picked it up.

"Even though this watch looks urban and new, it has been alive for eleven hundred years." Kipper said. I grabbed the watch and put it on. I said thanks, and rushed home.

I was going so fast, that I tripped over a rock, and flipped on my side. My brand new watch cracked. I looked at the watch. A high pressure air was escaping. I tried covering it, but the air was too powerful. A Noise escaped the watch. I stared at it in awe. It was that noise that a jet makes as it passes by. My ears buzzed. Everything chaotic. Then, suddenly, everything stopped. I looked around. Nothing changed. I looked up.

I've never been more scared. The sky, well there was no sky. All you can see is the universe. I rushed home. My mother was standing inside, staring at the tv.

"There is no sky. The ozone layer, and all of the atmosphere vanished. The ozone layer protects the earth from the sun. JUST IN! There are fires everywhere, and all of the water is evaporating! This is happening quick. The oceans are half as large, and there are dead fish surrounding it everywhere. People getting heatstroke sat the 208 degree weather in Florida. Stay in side. Urgent. Stay inside! Scientists are trying their best to develop a safe haven underground. Stay inside." Said the news man. It was already getting hot inside the house. I started crying. I rushed to the library, and ran as fast as I can. My hair was hot, and I got sunburns everywhere. I approached the library, and I then asked the librarian if there were any books about magic watches. She only had one. I rushed upstairs and took the book.

The book stated "there are 3 watches around the world. When you break one, a major catastrophe happens. All three need to be broken to put everything back to normal. 1st watch is located in Brookline st, New Hampshire. 2nd watch is in medusa garden, North Carolina.

3rd is, well the end of the world, and is located on the map. Where is the map, you ask? On the back of the second watch." I read those words in despair. I looked at the watch, and asked my mom to drive me to medusa garden. Of course she said no. My whole body ached and itched of sunburn, and I got on my bike, and without my mother knowing, I took a ton of sunscreen, and some sheets for protection, and rode to North Carolina.

Chapter 2

North Carolina was not that far, so I made it there in
