Eric was the one to lock up that night. In many ways that night was like any other. The bar had been packed with people, the women had eyed him lustfully - and how he enjoyed that. He had been offered several necks and declined them all. Eric just wasn't as hungry as he had been. Strangely, he was feeling tired. A little more than tired, he was weary.

Like his sire before him Eric finally felt the years piling up on top of him, taking out their rightful toll. Still, and Eric did try very hard to win Sookie over, nothing seemed to work. She was warming up to him, yes, but her feelings for Bill were still strong and not to mention very potent, making it easy for her to decline all and any favors Eric offered.
