A/N: This is a extended "Pilot" scene it is really short, but I hope you enjoy…and review.

Recap: Special Agent Dana Scully is partnered with Special Agent Fox Mulder to validate his work on a special project called The X-Files. While he is a believer in the paranormal, fuelled by a lost memory where his sister was abducted by aliens; she is a scientist and prefers to look for rational, logical explanations. Their first case takes them to Oregon, to investigate the unsolved deaths of several high school classmates, which Mulder believes are linked to an alien abduction. ( )

She throws herself into his arms and he staggers back for a second before caressing her shoulder. She stands up tightening her robe around her, he pats her shoulder as she draws back.
"You OK?" Mulder asks.
"Yes." Scully assures.
"Your shaking." Mulder notes alarmed.
"I just…I need to sit down."
"Sure, take all the time you need."
He sits on the other side of the small motel room end table and watches her carefully; the rise and fall of her chest, the way she clasps and un-clasps her hands. Some kind of emotion stirs in him then and he realizes, even knowing her less than a week, he loves her. She lays her head against the wall and he offers her a blanket and a bed, which she accepts willingly. The pair talk for awhile until they find out another class of '89 student is dead; then they rush off; words of love still unsaid.
