So I've had to change this whole thing, thanks to silly copyright things that make no sense. Please listen to Taylor Swift's "Wildest Dreams" while reading this, or at least read over the lyrics. I don't own any characters you recognize, blah blah blah, the OC and the storyline are the only things I own, blah blah blah. I don't normally do these songfic things…but this story just kept becoming more and more real the more I listened to the song. Dean was the first thing I saw the first time I heard it.
His hand brushed hers as he leaned down to whisper in her ear. "Come on, it's loud in here." She followed him outside, weaving through the packed bar, ears still ringing from the blaring music within.
Her head craned upward as she glanced up at his face. His blonde curls fell into his eyes, restless hands constantly brushing him back. His clothing brought back memories from that old TV show, Happy Days. Jeans slung low on his hips, tight white t-shirt showed promising muscles, and a black leather jacket that clung to strong shoulders. His hand grasped hers as he pulled her towards the parking lot and into his car. Lights blurred by quickly as the tall buildings of the city shifted into the mountains and sand of the desert.
She touched her love-swollen lips, deep in thought as she stared out into the sand dunes. The sun slowly dipped under the horizon, bathing the sand in red and orange light. She leapt from rock to rock, her gray dress flowing behind, before stopping a top a dune to watch the sun completely disappear. She turned her head to glance back and saw him staring at her, as though to memorize the sight.
His fingers tangled themselves in her curls and he pulled down slightly to angle her head up. Lips traveled from her ear down her jaw, stealing a soft kiss before continuing down her neck. Her legs wrapped tighter around his as the cell phone alarm went off. "I have to go," he whispered. She watched as he gathered up his clothes from the past few days, strewn about her room, before pulling him back into bed with her just one last time.
The car sat idling as far from the doors as possible. They both glanced at the airport before turning back to each other. He lifted his hand to graze her lips and leaned forward to capture them with his own. It was bittersweet and slightly urgent, their lips and tongues moving together in a dance they had memorized over the past few days. When they broke apart, he placed his forehead against hers, one hand combing through her hair. He moved away to get his bags from the back seat and she jotted her number down on a slip of paper. "I'll be here…anytime," she murmured as she pressed the slip into his hands. He glanced down at the note and nodded, smiling her favorite crooked grin at her.
Her eyes followed him as he walked inside, replaying the past few days in her head, hoping he was too. "Say you'll remember me…"
Dean unfolded the paper in his hands, glanced down at the number, and tossed it in the trash as he moved toward the security line. His ice blue eyes locked with a set of bright green ones. A crooked smile flashed into place as he took in the blonde woman a couple spots ahead of him in line. Glancing at his phone, his smile grew wider as he made mental plans for him and this woman for the few hours before his flight.
Do I think Jon actually acts this way? No. But can't you just see Dean doing this? This song just screamed Ambrose at me. Hugs and kisses to LexiAmbroseCabana for being awesome and reading over this for me **and ranting with me as I tried to rewrite this thing**. You're the best. Also, yes, I am still working on Shield Lane. I just finished exams and finally have my degree, so I can relax and finally flesh out some ideas. Review and let me know what you think!
