I remember you, Padfoot

Though my beard is grey

And my eyes have dimmed.

I remember your barking laugh

And your love of me for who I was.

I remember you, Moony

Though the sun has scorched me

And time has lined my face.

I remember the pain you bore

So stoically, even at the end.

I remember you, Albus

Though my joints creak

And I require a cane to totter.

I remember you and your works

But now they are comparing you and me!

I remember you, 'Mione,

Though it has been year

And that troll is long dead.

I remember you, smartest of us all,

And the way you cared for Ron and I.

I remember you, Ron

Though our fighting days are over

And so are our chess games.

I remember we fought evil,

Though I cannot recall which face it bore.

I remember you, Ginny

Though the mother of my children,

Of all those who preceded me

I have missed you, my love, the most.
