James Potter watched as a certain giggly red-head stepped into the Gryffindor common room. Two of her friends stepped in shortly afterwards. This red-head happened to be Lily Evans, James' long time crush. He watched as she and her friends sat down on a couch while he remained in one of the squashy arm chairs nearby. He heard snatches of their conversation as they began to whisper excitedly.

"So you actually kissed him?" Kym Brown asked Lily.

James knew instantly who they were talking about, it was a well known fact that Lucious Malfoy and Lily had just recently begun dating. Personally this was not good news to James. He came out of his thoughts as Lily nodded and began to blush furiously.

"What was it like?" asked her other friend Riley Jones.

"Absolutely amazing" Lily gushed. James felt a huge twinge of jealousy. Just then the Marauders stepped into the common room talking loudly.

"Oi! James, man you missed a hilarious prank on Snivellous" called Sirius.

This caused the girls to stop talking and look over at James. Lily smiled at him politely while Riley and Kym looked at him disaprovingly. James smiled back as the boys came over and sat in the arm chairs around him.

"Um, Lily do you want to finish this conversation up stairs?" said Kym with heavy emphasis on the word 'upstairs'. Lily nodded and all three got up and headed toward the girls dorm. As soon as the doors closed James instantly heard their conversation resume.

"So what did you boys do to him this time?" asked James.

Sirius launched into full detail until right before dinner. Then his stomach started to growl. As they walked into the great hall James' eyes imediatly flickered to Malfoy giving Lily a quick peck on the cheek. She then sauntered over to the Gryffindor table and sat down with her friends. The Marauders down across from them only to get more dissaproving looks from Lily's friends. Remus leaned over toward James when he noticed him staring and whispered,

"James you are so hopeless"

Little did he know Lily Evans was starting to develop feelings for James as well...

A Month Later

Lily giggled as Lucious kissed her.

"Lily you are mine and will always be" Lucious whispered.

'Oh well might as well get used to it' Lily thought even though a voice in the back of her head told her against it. 'You can do better, what happened to that nice boy James?'

'I don't like James and I never will' she told herself again. It seemed though, the more she thought about it the more she questioned herself. Did she really love Lucious? 'Well I wouldn't go as far as love, by my heart lies with him at the moment' She continued to converse with herself until things started to get a little out of hand. Lucious' hands had gone to far and so had his mind.

"Lucious, no I'm not ready" she whispered.

Lucious broke the kiss and turned around apparently deep in thought. He stood there for a moment and turned to face her.

"How long do you need?" he said with anger in his voice. "You will surrender your body to me and me alone" he continued. He then stormed of leaving a very hurt and confused Lily standing in his wake. She rushed back to the common room and sat down on the couch with tears in her eyes. James walked down from his dorm and saw Lily sitting on one of the couches with her head in her hands.

"Lily? What's wrong?" he asked softly.

"Nothing" she snapped.

James wasn't so sure though
