"Korra, you have to stop blinking. It's going to smudge."
"Well, sorry for flinching when I have this thing headed right towards my eye!"
Asami let out one of her signature angelic laughs. This sent shivers down Korra's spine. How could this woman turn Avatar Korra, the most powerful being on the planet, the human embodiment of Earth itself into a blushing pile of love-struck goop? Well, Korra herself certainly knew the answer.
"Any reason you want me to put makeup on you?"
"I just wanna see how I look with it on."
"I think you're beautiful regardless but we won't know how you look with it on of you would stop moving."
Korra let out with a huff and crossed her arms, using everyone ounce of strength she had in her to not move. Asami cupped her face and her thumb to pull back the skin around Korra's eye, making the skin tight for easy application. The inventor brought the eyeliner pencil to her girlfriend's face slowly and-
"Korra!"
"I'm sorry!" a long black line now stretched from the outer corner of Korra's eye to her ear. "Geez, you make it look so easy."
"I've been wearing makeup for years, Korra. Trust me, I used to do such a bad job, I looked like that raccoon headpiece you have up in your room."
Korra let loose a heavy laugh and brought a damp cloth to her face, wiping it clean for Asami to start over.
"I think I'm just going to start and end with neutral brown eye shadows for you, Korra. Maybe we can do liner another time."
"Ew, why brown?"
"Because it'll bring out those gorgeous eyes of yours."
There she goes again. Slamming the Avatar to the ground. Korra's face was beet red and her heart was about to burst from her chest.
Asami swirled a small makeup brush in some powder before gently sweeping it over Korra's eyelids. She was just about to cover the other lid when Korra pulled away again.
"Korra, I'm going to get it all over you if you don't-"
"Did you really mean it when you said I looked beautiful?"
"I mean it everytime I say it."
Korra flew forward and gave Asami a quick peck on the lips before settling down again so the inventor could finish her work. Once she was done, she took a small hand mirror from the floor they were sitting on and held it up to Korra's face.
"You weren't kidding about the brown's bringing out my eyes. Wow."
"Wait. I have to add some more."
Asami reached her hand down to pick up a tube of lipstick. She uncapped it and applied a vigorous amount to her full lips. She cupped Korra's chin and the back of her head and threw herself forward and forcefully planted a kiss on the Avatar's cheek. A large, bright, red stain adorned Korra's cheek.
"Now you're done."
