Gosh, why is the maple fandom dead! D: I know a lot of us normal writers haven't posted for super long, butbutbut, still!

This shall be my first official attempt at trying to revive this dying fandom, though I can't assure that I'll be consistent in posting up new stuff. I'll do my best though.

Don't expect my usual, tragic, super-angsty style kay, 'cause I've not been feeling emo/angsty in a long while, and won't be able to pen something of that degree at the moment. :x Do note the small lil' word count, but that doesn't mean that I didn't put in effort okay!

Ah well, just read, review, and enjoy peeps, if there are still any readers out there.

Careful, she had said to me, a gentle reminder that caressed my cheek just like a passing breeze before its careless departure. There are dangers out there.

Relax Mom, I had responded, laughing at her insecurities. Things like that only happen in those scary stories that you adults use to try and scare us.

Don't leave the safe zones, I vaguely heard her call out to me, just before I was out of earshot. Don't leave.

That look of worry never left her face as I left, but then again, she's always like that.

Don't leave.

I should've listened.

A shadow approaches, shielding me from the glaring sunlight that comes without the safety of the forest canopy. I sense something being pulled out of my cap, but it doesn't matter to me now. I think it's sharp and shiny, for it gleams under the brightness. Somehow, I think it's supposed to hurt.

It doesn't, though.

A world of colours flashes dizzily in front of me, but the darkness is all the more inviting.

So I leave, washed by sunlight into the darkness.
