"If you think he looks angry now, you should have been at the nose-piercing!" From Arias's card.

Arias's family had this tradition were all the males get their nose pierced on their fifty Solan, which would be around twenty-five-years-old for a human, but creatures age differently than humans, so twenty-five years to a creature was more like thirteen years. So Arias was still in that phase between child and adult when he got his nose-piercing.

Getting his noise-piercing was a right of passage and was considered a great honor in his family. It was one of the big steps he had to take for him to get closer to being an adult.

But that really did not mean that he liked the nose-piercing, in fact, he hated it. All his family hated to get their nose pierced. The only reason the adults make their sons go through with it is, because it was one of those 'I had to do it when I was your age, so you have to do it to' kind of things.

The young creatures normally just want to get it over with and afterwards, they proudly show off their new jewelry. But in Arias's case, he did not take it very well.

"Stop moving boy! You're making this harder than what it has to be!" Arias's father yelled as he along with three other creatures tried to hold Arias down, so an older creature could pierce Arias's nose.

All five of the creatures trying to give Arias his nose-piercing were related to Arias in some way, so they all looked like giant, humanoid ram creatures.

" I don't want my nose pierced! It'll hurt!" Arias loudly protested, kicking with all his might. He already gave two of the creatures holding him down, black-eyes and gave another a nasty looking gash on his arm.

"Well too bad! Stop acting like a lamb and be a ram!"

"Let me go!" Arias demanded, trying to wrestle his way to freedom. But it was no use, two creatures were holding his legs down, another one had his right arm and his father had him a headlock with on arm while he used his other to keep hold of Arias's left arm. All four of the large rams were over twice Arias's size and thrice stronger than him, so there was no escaping.

The oldest creature in the room was the one to pierce Arias's nose. His far had turned grey from old age and his horns were so long that they went down to the middle of his back.

Not wanting to waste any more time, the old creature took up the piercing tool, bright yellow on the end with the needle, because it had been heated up. He then swiftly pierced Aria's nose.

"Aaaaaa!" Arias yelled as loud as his voice box would allow and he wouldn't stop until his throat became raw.

The others lost their hearing for a few hours after Arias stopped screaming. Well, the elder ram was already losing his hearing, so he didn't notice that much of a difference.

Notes: Well, I guess this could be considered child abuse. Though creatures in Perim might view it differentially.

Anyways, I just thought of this while looking at Arias's card. I think Arias is a ram creature, so I used lamb instead of baby and ram instead of man.
