"Oh no!"

He ran back as fast as he could to her apartment. "Please...please... don't tell me I'm too late". Many people yelled at him, cursed him, but he didn't care. There was only one thing on his mind. "I MUST SAVE HER".

Ren jumped above the gate and ran up the stairs. Throwing open the door, he saw which he wished and hoped he'd never had to. There she lay, blood in a pool around her. Another girl stood in front of her with a grin plastered on her face. Ren recognized her as the girl who had been tormenting his client.

Kei was barely alive. "R...Ren… I…".

The killer found herself slammed against the wall. Ren had punched her hard. He was going to kick her next, when a monotonous voice stopped him.

"Ren, that's enough." said Ai.

"But Mistress, she killed Kei! I just can't let her go." yelled Ren. "Mistress, please, Please save Kei. I don't know what I'll do without her. Please Mistress, help her!!"

……..CRASH.....

"The girl escaped. What shall we do?", Wanyuudo stated. "I'm going---"

"No you won't." Ai cut short Ren, who was staring at her with astonishment.

"I shall instead save her soul and bring her back to you." replied Ai. And with that she disappeared.

Ren, unable to believe what he heard, broke down and took Kei's hand and wept. "Ren, it's ok. Mistress will bring her back. You guys will be together again. Ren, it's alright. Don't worry. Everything will be alright.", comforted Hone.

"Yea kid, it's ok. You can stop crying now. Ya know it's funny seeing you cry", chuckled Wanyuudo. Which earned him a painful jab form Hone. "What? I'm just trying to lighten things up here.", replied Wanyuudo. "Find another way to do it, old man" retorted Hone.

Ren had finally recovered. He was heartbroken to see Kei die and he was overwhelmed that Ai was going to bring her back, to him, for eternity. "Well guys, we should leave." he said his eyes hidden. Just then they heard the police sirens. With one last look at Kei's body, the three of them disappeared.

At the eternal twilight, Ai was waiting for them. Wordlessly she pointed to a place where the river was broader and red flowers grew wildly. " Mistress, I can't thank you enough. Thank you ever so much. Thank you, thank you." Ren said before running at break neck speed towards the lone figure there.

Slowing down to a halt, Ren looked at Kei before him. She merely smiled at him. Ren slowly made his way towards her. " Kei… I'm sorry I couldn't save you." apologized Ren. "It's ok." chuckled Kei, "Look on the bright side, now we can always be together… for eternity" she said , looking deeply into his eyes.

Smiling, Ren leaned in to kiss her. Kei returned the kiss, while deepening it as well.

" Awww…. Look at the lovebirds…. kissing all over the place!" cooed Hone. "Yea…", chuckled Wanyuudo. " Say, Mistress what made you save Kei?" asked Wanyuudo. "Nothing. Guess I wanted more friends. Besides, Ren finally found what he was truly searching for." She replied and walked towards the hut. " Guess everybody needs friends. Oh well, lets leave those two some time alone." said Hone following Ai. Smiling, Wanyuudo cast one last look at Kei and Ren, before heading off to the hut as well.

" I love you" said Ren, finally breaking the kiss. "I never dreamt this day would come. I'm so glad I meet you. I love you so much, Kei!" he said, meaning every single word.

"I love you as well Ren. No matter what people say, I think that dying isn't so bad. Considering you get to be united with the one you love so much" Kei said chuckling. "Hm.. I guess you're right." Ren replied, grinning.

With that said, no more words were uttered, as the two leaned in for more passionate kissing.
