Pearl did not want to be here, but her fencing team had pulled her along. It was a casual party for the athletes who worked out and practiced at the gym she went to. The owners of the gym were super friendly and they decided to start an annual party for people to get to know each other better.

Pearl didn't feel like making friends tonight, though. She would rather be in warm, bubble bath with a good book, but she was at the gym instead with Amethyst, who was trying her best to get her friend in the mood for the party.

"I'll get you a drink," Amethyst offered after they had greeted a few people they knew.

"Fine," Pearl sighed as she sat down at one of the tables. She had no idea what Amethyst was currently planning.

"What you got?" Ame asked Lapis, who was fixing up the drinks at a long table.

Lapis smirked, "You looking to get drunk or something?"

"Not me," she chuckled while gesturing back to Pearl.

"Well, this should work," she pointed to the punch, "I spiked it."

"Nice."

Amethyst filled up two cups before innocently heading to the table Pearl sat at.

"Thanks," Pearl begrudgingly said as she took a sip. Ame was thankful Pearl didn't detect anything off with the juice as she took another sip.

Eventually the party got quite busy and with Pearl's horrible luck, Amethyst was the life of the party and everyone was drawn to them. She was forced to talk to quite a lot of people, but managed to deter some by concentrating on her drink and taking sips whenever someone looked like they wanted to ask something. This lead to many refills and Pearl began to feel a bit out of it.

"You doing okay?" Amethyst asked when the conversations with her friends lulled.

"Yeah, yeah," Pearl waved off, completely denying she was currently drunk off her butt.

Then, something behind Pearl caught Ame's attention and she smiled.

"Hey, look who it is."

Pearl turned, getting slightly dizzy in the process. It took a minute for her to pick out the person which Amethyst had referred to. It happened to be Garnet, who was one of the boxers who trained at the gym and she was also Pearl's secret crush.

"You should go talk to her," Ame suggested, thinking that Pearl was only a bit tipsy and that it would help her confidence.

But Pearl was fully drunk and she did't know what would happen if she interacted with Garnet.

"Come one, Pearl," she egged on, "You can do it."

Usually, she never let Amethyst influence her, but in her state, this was starting to sound like a good idea.

"Fine," she huffed and got up.

It was only when Pearl made it half way across the room that Amethyst realized the mistake she had made. She watched the lithe fencer wobble somewhat with every step. Unfortunately, it was too late to do anything because Pearl had already caught Garnet's attention.

"Hey," Pearl slurred a bit.

Garnet politely answered, "Hello, Pearl."

The only thing that Pearl could think about now was the fact that Garnet knew her name. She knew her freaking name!

"Is there something you wanted?" Garnet asked with worry as she smelled alcohol on the other's breath.

There was no way she could think straight like this and the usually filter she had around her crushes was no longer there.

"You okay?" Garnet further questioned.

"You see that wall over there?" Pearl hiccuped.

Garnet raised an eyebrow, "Sure."

"I want you to pound my skinny white ass into it!" she yelled aggressively.

Garnet looked down at her in surprise, "Excuse me?"

"You're super cute and I wanna make out with your face!"

Their conversation was getting quite a few stares now. Garnet didn't seem to mind as she shrugged her shoulders and replied, "Sure, wanna go back to my place?"

"Very much! Thank you!"
