Year 832
"Come on! Just one more big push!"
Carla Yeager gave one piercing scream then lay back gasping and panting for breath. Then she heard a baby crying.
"It's a girl! Congratulations Mr & Mrs Yeager!" said the midwife.
Carla smiled and reached out and took her baby, "She's perfect…" she whispered.
Grisha sat on the edge of her bed and took one of Carla's hands "She is going to look just like you I can already tell." he said with a smile. "Remember when we decided if the baby was a girl you'd get to name it and if it was a boy I'd get to name it?"
Carla nodded "I had a name that I picked from when I was a little girl. Kayla, Kayla Yeager."
Year 835
Grisha POV
"Daddy?"
I looked at my daughter who was sitting on my lap. "Yes darling?"
Kayla squirmed "When will Mummy stop screaming?"
"When the baby is born." I replied. Kayla nodded.
After what seemed like forever Carla stopped screaming.
"You can come in now Mr. Yeager." Said the midwife. I nodded and carried Kayla into the room.
Carla smiled at me "It's a boy." She said.
"Daddy! Daddy! Put me down! I wanna see my brother!"
I put her down and she ran to the edge of Carla's bed and stared at the baby in her arms. "Why is he so red?" she asked. "Because he has just been born and his body needs to get used to not being in Mummy's tummy anymore." I explained.
"Can I hold him?" said Kayla staring up at me with her big brown eyes. I glanced at Carla, she nodded so I lifted Kayla onto the bed while Carla put the baby into her arms helping her hold him comfortably.
"I'm a big sister now!" Kayla exclaimed proudly.
"Kayla, promise me you will always lookout and look after him." Carla said.
"I promise."
Kayla looked at the baby for a couple seconds then said "Mummy, Daddy can I name him?"
"I don't mind as long as its not something silly," I said, Carla nodded.
"Eren!" she said, "Eren Yeager!"
