The problem with being born into a pure-blood family is that you know exactly where you are in the world, there are no questions asked of you and none for you to ask. I passed through the barrier onto the platform and although I had been through it many times before a new sense of excitement tingled down my spine. It was a misty day so we couldn't see much past the ends of our noses, and I was running a little late so I boarded the train straight away, stowing my trunk away then saying goodbye to my parents as the Hogwarts Express pulled away from the platform. I was joined in my compartment by two other boys, a Black one of them, although he did seem pretty decent.
