The Note

Lavi walked up to Kanda's front door and let himself in as usual. He walked down the hallway to Kanda's room and sat down on the bed. Lavi looked at the note he had found earlier this morning on his porch.

Lavi,

Please meet me at my place tonight I have to ask you something its extremely important.

Kanda

When he received the note he had been delighted that the love of his life wanted him to visit. Now Lavi was worried, what if Kanda wanted him to stop bothering him for good? Lavi shook his head, he didn't want to think about that. He was just about to get up when he heard the door open, 6:00pm Kanda was finally home. Lavi's heart skipped a beat as he heard the footsteps slowly making their way down the hall to where he was. Kanda stepped into his room and Lavi smiled.

Kanda looked at him and smirked, "I see you got my note."

He nodded slowly as Kanda moved towards him and placed a hand on his cheek. Lavi froze and looked into Kanda's eyes. They were full of love. He smiled at Kanda who pushed him gently onto his back. Lavi looked surprised but went along with him.

"Lavi…" Kanda leaned down and kissed the red head softly.

Lavi looked at Kanda,"Y-yes?"

"You thought I wanted to call you here to tell you I didn't want to be with you didn't you?"

Lavi stared at him utterly amazed," How did you know that?"

He chuckled," Lucky guess."

Kanda kissed Lavi gently on the lips. He bit Lavi's lip and pulled.

Lavi pulled back,"Yuu, why did you want me to come over?"

"I just wanted to ask if you…"Kanda looked away," Would stay with me for the rest of our lives…"

Lavi smiled, "YES!"

Kanda rested beside Lavi and watched him as he slept. Both of them knew tomorrow would be a very challenging day.

Lavi woke up with his arms wrapped around something. He looked over to see Kanda still asleep. He got up slowly only to have arms wrap around his waist and pull him back to bed.

"Where do you think you are going?" Kanda didn't open his eyes.

"T-to uh,"Lavi stammered," I don't remember."

A low rumble of approval resonated from Kanda as he pulled Lavi closer to him. Lavi sighed happily with a little resentment that he couldn't elude Kanda even when he was asleep. This didn't really bother him much though as he enjoyed being wrapped in his protective arms.

Kanda looked at Lavi,"Do you really want to go get your things right now Love?"

"No that can wait, besides most of my stuff is here already here anyways," Lavi smiled.

With that the two fell back into a peaceful slumber wrapped in the warm and protection of the one they loved most in this world.
