Hello Again, Old Friend
Elizabeth stood on her very own ship and stared out at the water. Her crew busy behind her doing their jobs. Her thoughts strayed to Will, as they often do when she allows herself to remember him. It's been five years since she saw him last. She's half way there. A member of her crew came up behind her.
"Captain Turner, there's a ship approaching." He informed her.
Elizabeth turned around to look at the ship and upon seeing it a smile appeared on her face.
"It's the Pearl." She said happily.
She boarded the ship and called to Captain Barbossa who was up at the wheel.
"Captain Barbossa, I don't think I need to ask where Jack is. You probably left him stranded somewhere again." She joked.
"I did indeed Mrs. Turner, but he unfortunately found his way back again." He replied and nodded his head behind her. She turned around and when her eyes came upon Jack she smiled a large, broad smile. He smiled back happy to see his old friend.
"So Your Highness, finally came back to visit us lowly men? I knew you couldn't stay away."
"Well what can I say, I just missed you guys." She told him as she tried to hug him.
"Hey, hey things never go well when you come that close." She just laughed.
After a night of drinking and catching up Elizabeth looked out at the water reminiscing. Jack came to stand next to her but she didn't bother to look at him. She knew who it was.
"You should stay with us. You love the Pearl." He said.
She sighed, "I do love the Pearl. But I have my own ship that needs captaining."
"Traveling with your own crew or traveling with us doesn't change the fact that the only reason you're traveling at all is because you're looking for the Dutchman." He told her. 'When did he get so smart' she thought. " You've waited five years. Can you wait five more?" he asked.
"Who knows me better than you Jack?"
He smiled, "No one alive that I can think of."
She turned to look at him, "Then you already know the answer to that question." Elizabeth walked away to say goodbye to the crew of the Balck Pearl. When she came face to face with Jack again she just smiled.
"You going to miss me?" he asked.
"I always miss you, Jack." She leaned forward and kissed him on the cheek and he let her. "I'll see you." It wasn't a question. And Elizabeth went back to her ship saying goodbye once again to her old friend.
